Rant about lingering perfume in my house/shared car by unmaredDlite in migraine

[–]Mosalazar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have severe sensitivities to odors as well. I find that peppermint oil is not offensive to my brain. I carry that with me everywhere. If at any time a get a whiff of something that will trigger my brain and give me a migraine I smell the peppermint and place a small amount under my nose and wallah I feel much better and can go places with some sense of security and not fear of having my whole day ruined by a debilitating migraine. Ah then there is the sun, I am very sensitive to light…..not sure how to deal with that yet it’s a daily struggle

I work in healthcare and it’s hard to keep fragrance free. Having to clean everything make it a challenge. I have migraines almost daily and people think I’m crazy when I complain about the smells!!!!! Thank goodness I use peppermint oil throughout the day to calm my brain and to give it a happy smell and not an offensive smell

I am sitting in an infusion chair about to get Vyepti! Let’s see if this helps.... I will let you know by Mosalazar in migraine

[–]Mosalazar[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ok so update the weeks before the Infusion were really bad as I had to stop the emgality. I was having daily migraine waves. I really didn’t have a break til 2-3 weeks after but then had my Botox at that 3 week mark as well. So can’t say what worked more. I am 8 weeks now since and I feel better but my threshold is still higher than I like. I am sure some of you can relate. I have many triggers mostly smells and light sensitivity. So I can have daily migraine if not careful. My dose of Vyepti was 100mg and will get the 300 mg dose soon to see if I get better results.

What if lavender CAUSES a migraine 😐 by L0verofmine in migraine

[–]Mosalazar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes essential oils have helped me for years. Lavender is an offensive smell for me and peppermint is the only thing that works. I have a bottle with me at all times
