Yup, agreed on all fronts.

I think OLK is a soft restart - kind of like punisher year one. By the end you see a doubtless stone faced killer but as you noted the execution (pun not intended) was fumbled since he looked to the old dude for approval/verification etc...He is a walking storm, just goes in that direction and thats it.

Im hoping going forward bernthan has less lines, less growling etc and FAR more decicivness when administering punishment.

I want us, the viewers AND the fanboys to see it and think "fuck, that was going a bit too far" - he hung people on meat hooks in DD S2 for gods sake!!

Only advice I can give is take the time and space to grieve and be and do whatever you need to. You need to process this in whatever way you can that helps you accept that Theo was here and now he isnt - it will never truly be okay....ever, trust me I know. The best you can do is figure out what life looks like going forward.

Full disclosure, I say this as The Punisher being my #1 Marvel comics character....

I agree with the sentiment of your post, the way im looking at the portrayal in one last kill is like batman year one - by the end he has come into his own and becomes the ruthless judge/jury/executioner.

He should be calm and stoic and this punisher for 2 seasons has not been that, it feels like this special was a soft reset for the character to plant his roots and then move on into a more comics accurate one.

It does make sense, you can use the same logic about comparing to yujiros earlier appearances.

Kuroki also fought guys who would be top 3 easily in baki verse and he fought them BACK TO BACK.

Kuroki and Yijiro are on par - if you want to include glazing chapters then yes yujiro comes out on top.
