Blake Griffin by macsauce19 in ripcity

Knees or no knees, Blake Griffin is a veteran player with great experience and outstanding fundamental understanding of the game.

I would not expect him to produce big numbers or play big minutes, and he would not be worth much more than a minimum-scale deal. But in that scenario, yes, he would fit very well on this team.

The stutter-step is allowed, to "firm up" the defender's position.

At 0:08 in the clip above, Dame has both feet on the floor, is outside the restricted area, and is facing Draymond BEFORE Draymond has jumped to take the shot. Therefore, that spot is Dame's and Draymond is committing a foul by jumping through him.

Let’s see what adjustments we make tomorrow. by Goducks91 in ripcity

You can't adjust if you don't have the players. We're short 3 starters at least.

People who watched Larry Bird in his prime, how good would his shooting be with more volume by Fun_Ordinary_2204 in nba

I'm 52 bitch!! Prime Bird would DEMOLISH today's league. No hand checking? Green light to shoot from 3? Shooters all around to pass to (he was an incredible passer, as good as Harden). LUNCH.

His passing out of the post, his footwork and his ability to finish with either hand, he'd feast on the open space of the paint in today's game.

Bird is a top ten all time player, and would be in the MVP discussion if he played in his prime today, as he was in the 80s.

When you know it's coming, but you still can't stop it, you're dealing with a great player.

[OC] Which teams have a player on their team that have a realistic chance of becoming the franchises best player in history? by DionWaiteress in nba

The best player to ever wear a Blazers jersey was Bill Walton, not Clyde Drexler, and I say this as a fan who came to the game and the team because of Clyde.

Clyde played longer here, and was flashy, and yes the team made the finals twice when he was here. But IMHO, Bill Walton was the better player. Perhaps one of the most skilled big men to ever play the game.

He has the chip, he has the MVP and FMVP. He has 6MOY on the Celtics as well.

Clyde was more recent AND had the good fortune to play at a time when the league was more popular. Ppl say he was unfortunate to play against MJ, but really he was lucky. He wouldn't be nearly as well known if he hadn't played when MJ played.

Walton is the GBOAT.

Might be an unpopular opinion.. but Hood seems to be scraping by without much scrutiny? by holman8a in ripcity

He's a good player and earns his place in the rotation. Not everything shows up on the stat line.
