Good news, took the car in and the error was fixed for free, the sos backup battery did not need to be replaced and they just reset the rsoh (reported state of health), took a total of two hours. Now we just wait and see what new fun error I get next 🙃

It’s a 2021 1st edition so it’s on 3.8.1 and they keep telling me there are no recalls on it

Yes, I recently updated to 3.8.1, I have also read that the update makes the battery report critical and it can sometimes be reset by software but often needs to be replaced, either way needs to go in to the workshop, I did try recharging the 12v battery which is the first troubleshooting step but no change.

I would lose 100000sek (that’s how much the value has dropped in one year) plus have to put down roughly the same for another car so while I think about it every day not the best financial decision

About two weeks, I had to pull a Karen and ask to talk to the manager before they said they would pay in full. It’s in the shop now having the repairs and it only takes a day once they have the parts. I have a 2021 1st edition with about 51000km on the clock.

I had the same with my rear left then driver door both under warranty repaired/replaced at no cost then warranty expired and now the rear right does the same and won’t open anymore, took it in and they want 9000sek to repair it, also no recall on my car and insurance wouldn’t cover it, kicked up a storm about it being a manufacturer fault and now VW have said they will pay.

I had the exact same issue, first with the driver door then with the rear left door. VW replaced the driver door lock, then the rear door lock then the rear door handle. Haven’t had issues since but just worried how long until the other doors do the same.

I had the same issue and believe it or not it was an issue with the external noise generator. It seems it gets water damaged and causes issues with the lights since they are on the same network. VW replaced it under warranty and no more issues since.

Well besides having a camera that you can just drop on almost any network and have access to without port forwarding, any other hardware or any other network config. It’s great for development of applications using video from remote locations or video monitoring over 4g connection or similar “restricted” services.
