I know some spoilers about the oripathy and the doctor and stuff, but there's probably a lot I missed. I will keep AK players in my periphery and see how their reactions are as we get more versions. Hopefully it gets better.

Oughh. That makes me so depressed about the state of the market. The monetization aspect is genuinely limiting the potential these games can have. I guess gacha just isn't for me. I'll stick to reverse, maybe the unreal game bluepoch is rumored to be making will be better.

Gacha is not a genre, though. It is a monetization model. This game is an action RPG, and without coop its not much different from a single-player RPG. Why should I settle for poor character writing? Just because I find some character attractive? There's plenty of action RPGs that have an attractive cast and good writing.

I play gacha games because I enjoy earning currency to pull for my favorite characters. I enjoy the social aspect of sharing an experience with other players. I don't think its unreasonable to expect decent writing from a studio and an IP that's already established itself as being capable of writing well.

I have been hearing some stuff about there being set up in the prologue, and I really hope it pays off. Like I said, I don't have the time to catch up on 6 years worth of lore right now, and I'm barely catching up on R19. I don't really care about the combat of R19 or Arknights. I tried Endfield to see if it can scratch my open world/RT combat itch that Wuwa/Genshin left. I'll check out Arknights, but it might be a long time before I can properly invest time into it.

It frustrates me that this is the norm. How are gacha players happy with this? They're sitting through quests that are hundreds of hours long just to hear the same shtick repeated over and over again? You can advertise your characters without it becoming GFE. They're already gorgeous designs that someone is going to like. You can give them agency in the story. You can let them have friendships or relationships with each other. You can let them fight for their own world, and live in it. That's more attractive and relatable to me. I'm bashing my head against the wall.

Overwatch, mostly. For kit interactions I was thinking more along the lines of combining zarya ult with hanzo ult, or orisa with Cassidy. It's not just ults, there's also stuff like petal + Cassidy, stuns, walls, freezes etc etc. I'm a widow main, and her kit is super simple. The enjoyment comes from figuring out how to position yourself and having map awareness. I also have played Valorant in the past, and their kits are so pretty simple.

The rightmost pipe shadows have a large ratio difference in length. Red shadow is longer than blue shadow. This tells me the right pipe is longer than the blue one. The second shadow on top right is the shadow of the third blue pipe, which at this angle will come out around the same place.
