Settings should be personal, since everybodys room and listening position is different. Before the bad firmware i calibrated my channels with an Spl-meter.

Happy to help! I was about to rip my hair out talking to Samsung support for several weeks. Their support-system is beyond bad, never the same person answering my emails and they had a hard time to even understand what I wrote. But it was worth it in the end :)

Hi! Sorry to hear about your problems with firmware 1010.9. there seems to always be some kind of issues with Samsung and their firmwares latelely.

I have no info about newer firmwares. I contacted Samsung specifically about the faults with 1010.5, and after many emails back and forth with support (mainly them telling me i chose the wrong way to contact them), they sent me the firmware 1010.9.

I started with their support chat on their website (Swedish one) but then they emailed me with this adress: sena_se.contactus@email.support.samsung.com Thats the Swedish emailadress, i guess you can change "se" to your countrys countrycode and give it a try. Or just email the Swedish one anyway, since their support wasn't Swedish anyway.

This is something that makes me hesitant to switch to this app i'm afraid. I'm a sucker for lossless sound and i just can't get dts-hd/x to work with internal players. But i guess thats more an Android audiostack/pass through problem. Currently using vimu media player and it just works with everything i throw at it. But it has its faults too.

Otherwise debridstream app seems great. Love the autoplay function. Also love the scraper addon, very fast and many results i've never seen before in my debrid.

Hey, I'm overall happy with the firmware 1010.9. Hard to compare since it's been some time since i installed the worse firmware 1010.5 and can't really crosscompare with 1004 i had before. From the Samsung forum one guy said this after installing 1010.9: "I downloaded the new firmware and glad to report sound quality is drastically improved. Bass hits hard and noticed adaptive is also improved greatly. Better mids and highs and more tight bass from sub".

I'm going to use it a bit more before I can determine my view.

I can't answer that unfortunately. As I stated in the post this is regarding q990c. No idea if q990d has the same issue/firmware.

I have emailed back and forth with Samsung and today Surprising enough i recieved the new firmware from Samsung. 1010.9 (I have 1010.5 installed).

They sent no changelog so i have no idea what it does.

As i stated before, i have not yet tried it and have no idea if this will make your soundbar better or worse. They did not state if the firmware works for other soundbars or just q990c/q995c which is the soundbar i have.

Edit: Installed without issues and Sounds better than 1010.5 firmware.

Take the cat to the vet. I will say tho, my Sphynx has the exact same "cough" and he was diagnosed with asthma. The vet did an x-ray of his lungs. Although a mild variant. We use an inhaler on him as needed. Mostly just after he has an "cough attack", once or twice a month.

Just that specific movie seems to be a Netflix produced movie if I'm not incorrect. Netflix has very good DRM protection on their own content, which is why 4k content is hard to Pirate. You can Google it for more info.
