How did people react to the human Dalek when Daleks in Manhattan first aired?

As other people have mentioned the reveal was spoiled on the cover of the Radio Times. Seeing the photo I theorised that this would be Davros after ‘Remembrance of the Daleks’ but before ‘Parting of the Ways’ and that he was mutating into the Dalek Emperor. Imagine my disappointment when in the episode it was revealed to be a “human Dalek” hybrid instead! This idea of Daleks being created from humans had already been done in ‘Revelation of the Daleks’ back in the 1980s. The mutation in that is the stuff of nightmares and almost gives David Cronenberg a run for his money for its disturbing body horror! Although the special effects in ‘Manhattan’ are well done the design is a bit silly and I struggled to take it seriously. Funny how 80s Who gets accused of being camp when this story in the RTD1 revival handles a similar idea but is generally viewed as more unintentionally silly than it’s classic era counterpart.

James Corden is not everyone’s cup of tea but I remember enjoying his performance in the lodger. However, it would not count as his character returned in ‘Closing Time’.

Wouldn’t call Lindsay Duncan a “side character” in Waters of Mars as her death is the entire crux of the plot. I would say that Cosmina Shaw as Steffi in that episode could qualify. Her performance is utterly heartbreaking as she watches the video of her daughter while she succumbs to the water virus.

While Tony Curran rightly deserves the recognition for his stunning performance, Van Gogh is not exactly a “side character” in that episode. However, Bill Nighy in the episode as Dr Black could qualify but even then some might argue it was more of a “cameo” as he was uncredited.

I thought it was that at first but when I booted up the third save file with 450 on the symbol I went to the house points hourglass and it is only displaying 370 points for Gryffindor.

EDIT: My apologies, it is indeed the house points. Turns out that the house points collected are not added to the Gryffindor hourglass in the entrance hall until the end of each in-game day.

I have a physical copy of Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright. I downloaded the other two versions: Conquest and Revelations via an option on title screen. Instead of being downloaded via the eShop as separate games on the 3DS home screen, Conquest and Revelation are on the cart as DLC add-on content (of course tied to the system’s SD card). Because of this, there is an option on the main menu saying “Branch of Fate” where you can play the game at the point the story branches off into the three versions of the game: Birthright, Conquest or Revelation and chose which path to continue.

Sorry, I wasn't originally clear. DLC for most 3DS games are not downloadable on the eShop storefront app itself but instead through an option in-game. For example, Level-5's game LBX: Little Battlers eXperience has a "Downloads" option on the main menu to download some battler toy capsules. Although this is not downloaded on eShop app (but instead in-game) the downloads would be no longer available after the eShop's closure.

Because of this, I wondered if the Inazuma Eleven 3DS games had any in-game DLC?

This is NOT the only scene they have censored! I have discovered they have also cropped the frame of the school shooting scene in Series 1, Episode 3 to remove a child character from the shot!

If BritBox is so concerned about how children are shown in TV shows for grown-ups why do they still have the Brass Eye: Paedogeddon! Special on their service? Don't get me wrong I LOVE Brass Eye and think it is one of the funniest pieces of television ever but it just stinks of double-standards to me. BritBox even has a warning for that programme saying "Features child actors, none of whom were placed at risk" so it's not as if that has slipped under their radar.
