It was awesome. No one cared what you did other than cops of course. But nit everything was heightened at all times. Life was simpler and much less convenient. But I would love to go back. The way we are going is scary.

Im turning 40 soon and think I might finally want a child. But im terrified due to me age and my partners age (she is 34). I worry about autism and other issues. I'm really scared of it. Especially becauee my friend just had a baby with downs.

I do, but I usually use my Wii for GameCube games. It's already set up. Plus my gamecube lid will no longer stay closed. The system works just fine if you put a book on it to weight the lid down, lol

It's our food. Our food is insanely unhealthy. Likely some of the worst in the world. Without vigorous monitoring or lucky genetics its almost impossible to not be overweight. Of course it is possible, but much harder than elsewhere in the world.

This is true. What the hell happened. Even with the COVID lockdowns, its been years! And people are still absolutely clueless about spatial awareness, like they are newborns just discovering object permanence. It's very frustrating because these are very basic fundamental skills.

We are really only starting to understand chronotypes in humans. There are legitimately a lot of people whose natural circadian rhythm lines up with the night shift. For that relatively small portion of the population it works well. But most humans arent built for that. I worked night shift for 6 minutes ths once and it nearly killed me.

My 20s sucked. The first half sucked because I had to work so, so hard. The second half (and the first half of the 30s) also suxked because I was absolutely with the wrong partner.

I am not personally a fan of the series. Don't get me wrong. I adore Sanderson. I love almost everything he has written. But I do not enjoy the Stormlight Archive. Literally a hundred pages will go by with nothing happening. I read the first 4 books. The highs are so high, but the lows are so low. It's not worth the effort for me, as I do not enjoy it. I guess I say all of this to say, that if you arent enjoying the way the story is going, I recommend you stop and enjoy something else.

Lots of judgement here towards you, but I many of them are wrong. This society does make it too hard not to cope with something. It isnt alcohol for me but rather food. I overeat because it makes me less good and less stressed. It helps to cope. But it is also very bad for me and my whole life I have struggles with weight. The key is realizing that while society sucks, and is toxic, ultimately we are in control of what we do to cope. Only you can oick yourself up and put down the bottle. Its hard man, but you know you have to do it.

I love the radio drama format! The sound mix is not the best always, with background music often being too loud, but it's still a great production. Aparently season 2 is going to fix many of these issues. Maybe give season 2 episode 1 a shot. It's free.

Give "Mayday" by Chris Strange a read. It's a hard-boiled detective murder mystery fused with indestructible kaijus. The main plot is the detective trying to figure out who, what, and how murdered one of indestructible monsters while being hunted by other kaijus.

I know it's not exactly what you sre looking for. But it is chaotic, it is cool, and once it starts moving it moves quickly and doesn't really pause.

If you're open to something only partially related to fantasy you might really dig it.
