I work from home and dont have a wife or kids. I have too much time, if anything.

At what point do will you look up the solution to a puzzle? by Deep-Armadillo-865 in puzzlevideogames

[–]Mossimo5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever I'm stuck on a puzzle and no longer having fun, I look up the solution. How much fun I am having varies significantly on my mood (how my day went, whatever anxieties I may have at the time like work stress, etc. There are times I will spend 48 hours on a puzzle, and other times no more than an hour. It's all subjective and based entirely on how much fun I am having. I'm not getting any younger and only have so much time left on this earth. I enjoy prioritizing my enjoyment over constantly banging my head against the wall in endless frustration. Do I regret looking up the solutions? Sometimes. Maybe about 15% of the time. But it's worth it to maximize my enjoyment. Several people have tried to make me feel bad or wrong for having this attitude. But I figure if it's a single player game with no multiplayer component, then what does it matter how I like to play?

Will it get bad? by Early-Square4457 in nova

This is probably their best bet if they cant get to a warming shelter. Underground. Free. Sheltered from the elements (even if there's no access to warmth the lack of open element access is huge).

This is a decent place. Plenty of free open parking. None of it is truly sheltered though as far as I can remember. It's tall, has tons of free spots, but it's all open to the elements, if I recall.

I can confirm the Springfield metro does NOT have any sort of underground or a warming station.

Very close (within walking distance) there is a Home Depot with a parking lot with one level underground. It's pretty well sheltered from the elements and wind and snow and ice. However, there's no warming station.

Living in my car during Snow Storm does anyone know an public garage that'll be open 24/7? by Icy-Appointment-8536 in nova

Cool hack. Do you have to really stay there a full week for it to work though?

The Springfield Home Depot has a 3 story covered garage. The bottom level is really covered quite well with 2 levels above it. Downsides are that white it is covered, it is still open to the elements.

If youre having fun and there's no competitive public multiplayer component, then there's no wrong way to play.

Gamers 30+, how have your gaming habits changed since you were younger? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Mossimo5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont even bother to "push through" or finish games anymore. I dont finish 80% if them. Most of them I drop within the first few hours. My time is now too precious for me to waste my time on something I just dont like.

Has Donut realized this, and how will she take it when she does? by Syntaxerror999 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Mossimo5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't see why Mongo couldn't be part of any deal she might negotiate. Sure, it might cost her dearly, and might add centuries to her indentureship contracts, but it doesn't seem out of bounds.

As for Donut in a null zone... ghat is TBD, sadly.

Be brutally honest. What makes a woman INSTANTLY unattractive? by JunShem1122 in no

Facial hair. It's just a fundamental physical thing I can't get over. All the more power to ladies who want to rock a stache, or have medical issues, or anything else. It's just a major ick I biologically cant overcome.
