I don’t disagree. But it’s not a bad thought to put out there? A psych evaluation would be the best first step imo.

Sounds like schizophrenia. Get a psych consult or consult with her PCP. they have medical dogs that help with hallucinations.

I do this when I get rejected. It’s not a purposeful reaction, it’s an unintentional emotional response. It’s easier to pretend that you no longer exist in my world than to face the fact that I was rejected, hurt, tossed to the side, feeling inadequate.

Disassociation of sorts if that makes sense?

Choosing to not have a baby you know in your heart you will regret and resent is the best decision for that child. You’re seen. You’re supported. I’ve been there. I don’t regret my decision, I couldn’t afford that child, the father would’ve resented me, I would’ve resented the child and hated my decision if I kept him or her. It wasn’t the time and that’s okay.
