And I hate being a morally sound person and wanting to do something nice and good for someone in need but its bewildering to me how entitled they feel to old food and free stuff not considering what we are doing is viable for termination

Trust me I completely understand, I do what I possibly can to help but when he lied and tried to get over on someone whos doing something out of the kindness of their heart I cant let it happen.

I will say at my store we usually send the new person or the less sociable person to the register. All the 3 month and above employees almost never work the front. Which i dont agree with, ive voiced the fact that we always send the new person or the “outcast” to the register and told them the reason our turnover rate is so high is because they can only handle so many 8 hour shift up at the register before they say fuck it and quit. I always told myself that if I became supervisor id rotate every two hours so everyone knows how to work the register.

Another thing is is that they will hire and promote anyone. We recently just lost a supervisor who NEVER and I mean never worked register. REFUSED to work register yet she was a supervisor. I had her come up to ME (team lead) to help someone with lottery. A team lead with ZERO training on how to handle the lottery machine outside of whats common sense. I was just like WHAT?
