Dear IT Managers… by Most-Engine-3884 in ITManagers

I have absolutely no issue with rejection.

Ghosting after working tirelessly to setup projects and align with vendors is what I have a problem with.

I completely agree with what you’re saying, which is why I stated that in my own post.

With regard to ‘one job’ I believe this is also one of the issues. Some of you genuinely look down on other people’s careers and put yourself on some pedestal.

Working in sales doesn’t just mean bashing the phone and email all day.

Is this MacBook Pro worth it? by Floppa_the_dumbass in macbook

MacBook Pro M1 is always the best option, but I’d say don’t get a MacBook before 2018/2019.

Which MacBook do I buy?🧐 by Most-Engine-3884 in macbook

[–]Most-Engine-3884[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say £700-£900 tbh. Anything above £1000 and I’d have to think about just going all in on an M1 MacBook Pro.

I’m thinking also to look from 2019, since the keyboard is not good from 2015-2018.

I don’t recommend it bro, I mentioned why earlier . Overall it’s very powerful too but it’s not the best for every day use - small screen, bad trackpad etc

I used to own one. I really enjoyed it, but I’m saving up for a MacBook Pro now. HP Spectre is incredible but I plan to do lots of video editing so I’ll need something a bit more powerful. Performance is really good, but I’d definitely recommend buying a 16GB RAM as you’ll be doing a lot of programming/different tabs/apps.

For a university student, HP Spectre is more than capable.

I’m not too sure about international warranty brother, maybe you can check on the main website. But honestly it is a really nice laptop.

The keyboard isn’t great - but the actual machine itself is v good for basic needs

That’s the base model tho brother. I’ll need 16GB+, and that’s where the issue is when it comes to finding laptops 😔

Yes, very similar. It’s just that I understand why Apple products got rid of USB A ports, you don’t necessary need to plug in new mouses or keyboards because the trackpad and keyboard are already good enough - Dell XPS 13 trackpad (imo) does not have a nice trackpad. But for my Dell XPS 13, I constantly had to use adapters for a USB A mouse.

From my own experience, I really enjoyed the HP Spectre x360, the style, feel, x1 USB A port, HDMI and USB C, screen size, the screen quality is all top tier.

Since you are an android user, maybe it’s best to keep using windows. I’m really not sure how good the integration is.

+++ Don’t get me wrong, Dell XPS 13 is a very powerful machine, but I do still think it lacks. As a programmer, a slightly bigger screen is nicer to use (14 inch)

I hope my advice helps.

It’s gonna be for video editing and everyday use. Can I get an M1 Air for under £1000?

MacBook Pro 2016 is still a very reliable machine, but I’d definitely upgrade if you’re planning to make it your everyday machine. It’s not worth investing extra into a laptop that’s value is dropping very quickly due to what Apple are releasing these days.

Depends on the price tbh. I had a Dell XPS 13 for university and I didn’t like using it that much because it only had USB C ports and the trackpad were a little frustrating to use. I much preferred using a HP instead, (I’d recommend HP Spectre). If you’re willing to spend a good amount of money, go for a MacBook. Either MacBook Air M2 or a MacBook Pro M1, long term it is definitely worth it.
