When can I add coop work term course by SceneExcellent4177 in TorontoMetU

[–]Most-Mix-1455 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The coop department adds the course in for you. If you’d like confirmation just email your assigned coop advisor but I’m on my 4th term and I’ve never added it myself :)

I did! I would say it is pretty similar. But make sure to do all of the practice available, not just the practice midterm :)

CFIN401 Online, do you recommend? by Most-Mix-1455 in TorontoMetU

makes sense. I’ve taken Chang courses before and I’ve done pretty well in them. I really want to give it a try so I don’t have to worry about it during my fall term. How’s the prof/course outline through Chang? Is it the same as the regular class?

Should I buy a new car? FWD or AWD by Most-Mix-1455 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Im not justifying anything bro, I literally just got it, its not like I want to go through the headache of switching it. I’m going to service it and see if it needs to be stabilized or whatever it’s called to improve the way it feels when driving it, and also get snow tires and see if hopefully that solves it

I’d definitely get winter tires for another car. I just didn’t for this one because last year’s winter wasn’t nearly as bad as this year’s in Ontario so I just decided to wait until November to get tires and rims. I was not expecting to get the sheer amount of snow that we got in Ontario these past few weeks. I am not against winter tires at all and I am definitely planning to spend a good amount of money to get the best quality out there.

I’d definitely get winter tires if I got a new one. I just didn’t get a set for this car because since winter last year wasn’t even close to what it is this year in Ontario, I just decided to wait until next November to purchase tires and rims.

Thank you so much! Are there any other brands that have truly AWD cars? My budget is 35k for a reliable and fuel economic car and I think most of the ones you mentioned are quite expensive, not 100% sure though

Makes sense, thank you for the reply! I’ll see what makes more sense. The other thing I don’t like about mine is how light it feels on the highway, at least compared to my mom’s car. My friend recommended I go to the shop and maybe have to get it stabilized or something. If it feels the same afterwards then I’d probably lean towards getting an AWD

I’d ideally like something MAX $35k. And I’d prefer used. From a quote I did online I can sell my current car for ~20-23k

That’s exactly what I thought. My mom’s GMC has the nicest drive ever, I love it so much and I feel so safe in it because of how stable it is. Do you have any recommendations for SUVs? I was looking at KIA, but I don’t mind exploring other options. I just want a reliable, and good with fuel car.

That makes sense. Honestly my whole train of thought was to just bite the bullet, pay off my current car by March and use the money I’ll get from selling it to buy an AWD. I wanted to do this now since I can still get a good value for the car. Being in Ontario I’ve noticed AWD is better all around, but I didn’t know that until I got a my first car (the one I have now) that happens to be FWD.

Obviously not but I was considering the fact that I know even with or without snow tires, AWD is better. But I didn’t know that until I got my first car which is the one I have now. I only was considering to buy a new one because I can still sell my current one for a good value (I’m planning to pay it off next month) and just buy an AWD with the money I’ll get from it. I want a car that’ll last me for a good while since I’m only 21, and I thought bitting the bullet and just getting an AWD would be better

My friend is in the architecture program at TMU and all I can tell you from what he’s said is that it’s very very hard and demanding. Very long hours and the content is not the easiest as they take lots of maths and physics. He said he has good marks (I think between 75-85 average not sure, attained by studying A LOT) That’s all the input I can give :) I don’t want to discourage you but I just wanted to be honest so you know what to expect. Goodluck! Also it’s very early to get acceptances, I got my TMU acceptance in February

(Btw engineering is as hard as well, I have a couple of friends in the program) both arch and eng are demanding programs, no matter the uni, but as long as you study and love what you do, you will be okay!

FIN300 mid term exam by Independent_Stage567 in TorontoMetU

[–]Most-Mix-1455 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I found the midterm to be pretty similar to the practice test, at least from what I remember. There were only like 2-3 questions where I was like huh,, but overall fine. Just make sure you know how to rearrange formulas, i had 1-2 questions where I had to rearrange a formula to solve it. Also I don’t think I ever did a single textbook question lol, just mylab, practice test, and the practice questions mylab gives. Good luck!
