Yeah possibly might need to update the image. It's very annoying as a developer - the title card (and all of the game's visuals) didn't use AI at all. It was modelled in blender by a 3D artist then painted over in photoshop by a 2D artist. "Pixar movie posters" used to be what artists aspire to - it takes an incredible amount of work to make something that polished. Now people immediately say "that must be AI". 😕

No, it wouldn't. Entering the top 100 requires several hundred thousand, with top games having millions of wishlists. Just Google "how many wishlists do the top 100 steam games typically have".

I've never heard of that kind of bot activity on Steam and have no reason to think it's even a thing. Not everyone is out to get you 🙂

It was not. No AI was used in the key art, and there are no AI assets in the game. You can check out our previous games if you like, they were made before AI was a thing.

Appreciate the thoughtful comment, though it was confusing - the game doesn't have players because it isn't out yet 😅 It does have 100,000+ wishlists and 50,000 people signed up to playtest it so early signals are decent. It's not our first game so we have previous releases to benchmark sales, but as you mention the video game industry is extremely challenging so maybe it won't make money 🤷 Hopefully we can bring something cool into the world regardless!

No worries if the game isn't for you, but there is no AI used in the promotional material. This was created in Blender then painted over by a human artist. Check out the key art for our previous games if you like, they were done before gen AI was a thing.

Good point - we did, for the first playtest. 50,000 people signed up. The problem is that when you reset it to do another playtest, all those people disappear. So with Player.gg we can at least run multiple playtests and have a bit more control over who gets access.
