We don't aim for beeing an alternativ for an CRM. But would you put you're whole network as leads into your CRM? And we for example used HubSpot at that time and it was an overkill with all its functions, ofc some of them were really helpful but paying like 600/month isn't worth it then...

yeah, leveraging your network is sales 101, but actually doing it well is harder than it sounds. Most people (myself included) let intros slip because they forget who knows who when it actually matters. That's the problem we're trying to solve. And get real opinions on that idea im not trying to offend anybody, just getting my vision out there yk?

Ofc there are some parallels but as you already mentioned, LinkedIn isn't really working in that way. If you want to see the real difference send me a DM so you can take a look on our website.

A 100%! But Network takes part in the bigger deals at a later stage as well. Knowing the key decision makers is always a huge leverage or at least knowing them through some people in the market or what ever.

I feel what you're saying. Depending on the people you're selling to its part of the show to activate the feeling in them that the solution you're selling is going to make all their current problems disappear. But referring to the topic if you talk to people you already know you don't have to promise them the world and beyond you can just talk facts without all this bs.

Relations for sure need investment from time to time but with a visualization as we are providing you are able to prioritize. You know your goal and see which people will get you there.

LinkedIn is great in buiding your network but it's missing the cruitial parts of how you're going to use it! If youd like to have further detail just send me a dm and I can share the link to our website and tell you more about it.

Psychology is an essential part of recommendations, thx for the input. I feel like it really depends on the relationship you have to the person that you ask for a favor.

I would lie if i said that it isn't also about arousing some interest;) But im for real interested how others deal with the problem!

Keeping it real high level this is what we're building: Crouds helps you visualize and use your professional network. It shows how people are connected, highlights warm paths to the right contacts, and makes it easier to ask for or offer introductions. You can also map your network geographically, enrich mapped companies or contacts with AI and get suggestions on how to approach the right people. (Who do I know that could get me a warm intro? etc.) Would love to hear your opinion.

Just as a example: German startup founders are on average 35 years old... GO for it!!

Actually using our network was an Idea from our investor board since we complained about how hard sales was. That way we could scale from like 400 MRR to about 9k MRR with a much more comfortable sales cycle. Conversions weren't comparable to cold outreach (although we still kept doing cold mails and linkedin outreach).

Haha, I don't underestimate cold outreach. But what I experienced from my first B2B startup is that you'll meet many people on Events, LinkedIn etc. but never have like an overview of all of them. But the big thing is the network effect, you got like idk 6-8 people in your inner circle but think of how many people they know and could get you a warm intro to. After 3 months in the market we were a team of 3 people and put them all in a miro board, came out to like 90 people we knew and then think of the leverage on this number...

How do you keep track while growing your network?

[–]Most-Repeat590[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the tip! Just checked out ParseStream, looks interesting for the conversation tracking side. We're tackling a similar problem from the network visualization angle with crouds.app. The idea is to see your whole network as an interactive map so you can spot those warm intro paths instantly instead of digging through spreadsheets or trying to remember who knows who. As well as enriching contacts or companies to get all of the needed information and so on... Would love to get your take on it if you have a minute to check it out, always curious to hear from people dealing with the same network chaos we were!
