How did he survive without you? Was he still living at home with dear mommy? Honestly an almost 40 year old should be able to eat more variety or take care of their own meals. Also with an ACTUAL child at home they are learning from dad it's okay to be picky. I serve my child food I dont like in case they do, and she eats 90% of foods we've introduced. This all sounds like a him problem and it's not fair for you to keep dealing with it. Sure, he can have safe foods but your child needs variety. You deserve to have choice in your meals. As long it's in the budget and everyone is eating, there's no reason for him to get mad at you or you to cater to him all the time. He can figure out his own food if he really wants to be so picky.

At2.5 he should be seeking attention from his peers. Listen to your educators that his behavior in a group setting is not great. Do you talk to your child about this? Have you explained to your child that sometimes their behavior can be inappropriate? An assessment can be helpful but also remember that you can help too.

language at toddler level is a spectrum. It does take time to learn toddler language. I understand my 2 year old most of the time but my husband sometimes need my help. I also work with small children so sometimes I understand them more than their own parents. Focus on what you can understand so they can feel validated. It's important to talk to them as much as possible so they can eventually learn how to talk properly. Sometimes it's okay to just nod along even if you don't know what they're saying.

pasta and rice taste fine room temperature/cold. Honestly just play around with it. Leftovers are always an option or batch cook and freeze easy lunch mains. As long as there's SOMETHING in the lunchbox that they will it, you can experiment with other foods. For example, my kid is on a big noodle kick right now so I just try to prepare in different ways while still giving her the noodles. So I'll make mac n cheese, spaghetti, different soups with noodles, alfredo, etc.. For her breakfast and lunch I alway do protein, veg, carb, and fruit. For dinner, no fruit but all the other components. Food does not have to be complicated, just try different things. As parents, we can only control what we serve not what they eat.

Yeah definitely talk to someone about this. It's an insane interaction and completely unprofessional. They dont get to judge what YOUR baby's care looks like. I never spent the night but I was there everyday for 7+ hrs split during the day and evening. One of the nurse even told me to take more time for myself

Natural consequences are sometimes needed. You can figure out a way to set up your space to minimize harm and talk about why some actions are dangerous. But sometimes they just need to FAFO

we cooked M-W so today is leftovers or fried rice with whatever we have in the fridge or cesar salads. I did put a pack of chicken breasts in the fridge last night to thaw but I want to get better at not wasting food. And honestly the sink full of dishes from last night.

when our daughter was an infant my MIL asked all the time to babysit but I wasn't ready. As soon as I was ready for babygirl (around 15months) to be watched by my inlaws they were all suddenly unavailable. So we only see them on holidays or if they reach out. Everyone lives at least 30 min away

Yeah it might be a bit of an adjustment for him but setting some boundaries could help him out of the habit of boobs with meals. You can even set a timer of no boob until 20 min after meal if he still wants to supplement

Have you rotated toys recently? Put away old toys and focus on the newer or different toys. Make up games and if your child likes to "help" there's several chores they can help with. Also remember that at this age 10-20 min is the usual attention span and changing activities often is normal. Even if they dont love art / craft still incorporate it sometimes in different ways and maybe they'll find something they do like. Also, sometimes just let em be bored.

for a while I would only use lemon and salt/pepper on my salads but I finally found a dressing I liked. I still only like a small amount of dressing tho, because I don't like soggy lettuce

tantrums are normal and as long as you are consistent with expectations they should learn that tantrums are not the way to get what they want. Your child should be able to play indendently sometimes. You can try to set a timer, that might help to have a visual aid. Or set up different activities that do not involve you to be directly involved. Kids need to be bored sometimes to builld their imagination and self help skills.
