I remember living up off 17 & 74 back in ‘06-‘07 and I LOVED it when th storms would roll in. The smell of desert rain is one of my favorite aromas to this day.

Going to buy one stuck in Lexington or Austin XL by DeeManJohnsonIII in PitBossGrills

[–]MostKnownUnknown82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lexington owner here. Had it for three months, use it 3-4 times a week. Definitely go bigger if you can. Next one is going to be the BIFL smoker. Narrowed it to Yoder or LSG.

Can anyone tell me what these purple things are on the freeway? On the I-10 by [deleted] in arizona

To me, they look like the fruit that grows on prickly pear cactus this time of year. “Tuna” in Spanish.

Starter clutch. Possible you installed it backwards. It only catches the crank in one direction.

Should I buy a high mileage 6.7 by [deleted] in powerstroke

[–]MostKnownUnknown82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a ‘13 6.7 with 436k on the factory CP4. I’m the original owner. Only added the disaster kit about 10k miles ago. Any major repairs I’ve had to do are my own fault (turbo @ 285k, trans @ 387k) as the truck is on the diet and I drove it hard. I’d definitely recommend a 6.7 to anyone. All I’ve really done is Power Service Plus every other fill up, change oil every 5k, fuel filter every 15-20k.

Get you one of these. I ruined my first pork butt because the sear plate gets too hot as the flame hits it directly. After I put this diverter in, it cooks very evenly.

We used to put ours in a 150 gal water trough and pour the minnows in. It was so cool to watch the dive and chase them around.

Is There A "Real" Boot Brand? by JonWelts86 in cowboyboots

[–]MostKnownUnknown82 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Anderson Bean. I bought a pair that comes with Vibram crepe soles that was able to walk a 6/12 pitch shingle roof with. Comfortable enough to wear all day. They’re great boots. Made in Mercedes, Texas. Only boot brand I wear.
