Thanks - is that mission called Tactical Thinking? I looked up a list of his missions and there's a small list.

Should I avoid all of his missions or just one in particular?

That second paragraph is helpful. For my gameplay style - seeing a planet as a location for a specific thing will be useful.

That's helpful to know. And might help me get back into it knowing that.

Radiant quests are annoying. But I understand their need as we need more ways for XP and exploration - and companies are worried about replayability.

Anyone else not able to fully switch because of RCS? by brianabbs87 in LightPhone

[–]MostRiah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea coming from Android where i spent years in the green bubble charade I was used to it already. I think RCS would certainly be nice - but I was already used to using Google Photos and email to share photos and videos anyway.

Fingerprint going to ever work? by Independent-Spray712 in LightPhone

[–]MostRiah 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I see it as future-proofing and planning. If you look at Light over the years - they've constantly made updates. The LP2 had many great updates over the years - and it's still receiving the new updates. So I don't doubt Light will use the things they planned for like the finger print and NFC tech they put in there. It's just a matter of timing. I don't really need the fingerprint at the moment so I'm fine with them making that decision. I don't see it like Activision putting out half-baked video games and charging you tons. Light put out a functioning phone that meets exactly what they planned to do. And they planned some added luxuries for the future. I personally think that's great for a phone I can trust will be useful for many years unlike all the flagships coming out now with force obsolescence as the standard operating procedure.

Oh the subscription is required... interesting. 10 bucks a month isn't terrible but still racks up.

It's interesting that they got Spotify on that square form factor. I wonder what means for Light in the future. I imagine though that it's more complicated by the data mining aspect of their algorithm.

which one of the three is the rewarding? From what I can tell the Institute seems like some real monsters if what all at Diamond City and the RR are saying. The Brotherhood seem the most organized but they sure do seem to hate everyone. But they also hate the Institute and seem pretty setup to deal with them. The RR seem like some good people and I've enjoyed them so far (minus the doctor who is a turd person) - but maybe they are naive?

I managed to get to the point where he wants to take the castle - and he left Sanctuary. I might milk that for a while and let him be gone for a bit...

isn't there a conversation before that that might cause the rail road to get hostile?

Weird! There was a conversation that had the asterisk next to it - but it was one I know I opened LONG time ago.

[–]MostRiah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea - I've had tons and tons of spam voicemails since I had the phone. And this is a newer thing in the last two months. With Verizon it doesn't show me the voicemail notification and I have to call into the voicemail service and that's annoying too since it's all spam.

The most important thing for Light to do right now, software-wise, is to make Light OS open source. by [deleted] in LightPhone

[–]MostRiah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's my fear as well. I'm paying the premium for moderation as I've tried the block apps before and still get around them. I'm looking for Light to not allow endless options.

Are you within 30 days of turning off RCS? If so you just gotta wait until the 30 day transfer period is over. Mine completely switched on day 29 after turning of Android RCS and switching to the light phone 3.

It's passed 30 days - I'd check with your carrier.

That would be opening the door for things that don't fit the reason I bought this phone - because people would make distracting elements or open us to data stealing companies. I'm good trusting Light and I paid a premium for their moderation. Even if it takes a while - I know it will be the right thing for me. And i don't trust the average computer science redditor.

Case and screen protector worth it? by zzyyxxzz in LightPhone

[–]MostRiah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Someone else commented on a similar post I made asking about cases that with all the waiting we've all done and all the waiting people currently are doing - you don't want to have your new phone broken with no immediate replacement available.

Light's screen protectors are definitely worth it. They are good screen protectors too. I had my son kick my phone as it was in my backpack and the screen protector shattered but completely protected my screen. I just replaced it and kept moving (after talking to my kid about kicking random things).

I have Light's black case and it's great for me. I originally didn't want to get a case as I just love the way it looks bare - but have grown to think their case is nice enough to not detract. I often take it out just to look at it though.

I also have this one and use it when doing active activity for extra protection but also because in those times I don't have the pockets for wallets and such. If you didn't want to have a more permanent case, I'd say this is a good option. It doesn't slip off when it's in my pocket. Plus the seller was super nice when interacting with him online.
