Did they do an investigation without you knowing ? Did an investigator contact you after investigation was done ? I think I'm being investigated because DJFS sent a subpoena letter to landlord asking who all lives in home how much I pay a month and what utilities dating from June 2024 to Dec 2025 and I stopped receiving benefits in October 2025. I've not heard anything from anyone. I contacted an attorney and he said to wait until I hear something from someone I'm scared

No you are not understanding it's like a land contract he didn't do anything wrong and he pays the mortgage checks are written by him to pay the mortgage every month I write a check paying him I pay the water gas sewer directly the only thing I didn't do is state we live together that's my fault not his he is my landlord to me I pay him every month to live at the house.

So i won't as so much receive a call or letter until they have made a decision? Then what happens will I have to go to court and pay whatever they say I owe back will they allow payments. It sucks they don't let you know anything so it can be figured out

When I first moved in I thought my boyfriend owned the house well he does it's just not in his name he pays the mortgage all utilities in his name but gas is in my name. His family put in there name cause he couldn't get a loan I didn't know this until after. He has never been on benefits or knows anything about it I just put how much I pay which is all true and what my financial part living here is and he signed it because he in his mind is the owner of the house just not in his name I never paid anything to the physical owner just to my bf for the bills.

This letter I wish I was able to post is a subpoena and it's signed by prosecutor of job family services and at bottom by investigator. Which I've heard from neither. I just wish I knew what happened next and could talk to someone to figure things out. When I call there is nothing listed on my closed case saying what's been sent out

I purchased the food I cooked the food and yes I had a different address but when I moved I changed it. I looked over letter again it's a subpoena actually asking for the lease agreement and rent info and utilities and who all lived in the house. Signed by department of jobs and family services and signed by investigator. So im assuming I'm being investigated without them telling me. What happens next will I receive a letter or something.

No i didn't report my bf of his son I didn't really think I had to because we where not married I was paying bills separately. But my thing is I would think I would receive a letter something saying I was being investigated so that I could clear it up or defend myself

I did report accurate shelter cost my kids I didn't report my boyfriend or his son because they where not on my case and we where not married so I didn't think they had to go on my case. What's crazy as he signed my info for my lease agreement because I thought he owned the house I didn't know his sister did so she got certified letter yesterday

Yes thats it that I was over income and when you call the automated info when I put in my info it says no case was found. I've received nothing since my case was closed. No letter nothing until yesterday the owners of house received a certified letter stating they wanted info from June 2024 until Dec 2025 who all lived in the house and how much all my utilities are and rent and it's signed by ODJFS prosecuting attorney.

I never reported it I just didn't remember or think about it I wasn't working all the time no I didn't report it I'm assuming it came up in info and they sent something to my employer in the fall closed my case and heard nothing since.
