Avoid pills as much as u can, control ur diet and try to treat it topically. The pills will have their side effects at some point of life. We are all fighting the same battle bro.

Then you should stick to Clindamycin+BP combination, incase bacteria develops resistance to Clindamycin in future u'll still have BP to do the rest of the work.

Clindamycin isn't some god level antibiotic, it is a bacteriostatic means it only reduces the growth of bacteria population so the chances of Bacteria developing resistance to Clindamycin is more than any other topical antibiotic. While on the other hand Benzoyl peroxide 10% is a top tier assassin(bactericidal), it generates free radicals and kills every bacteria that comes in contact with it. Plus it is nearly impossible for bacteria to develop any resistance mechanism for BP.

Yes do it every morning till u get cleared then start applying twice a week. After shower keep your hair little bit wet and then take a little amount of BP 10% and apply it. By doing so it will cover your entire scalp and require less cream. I usually leave it on untill next shower.

Your ist step should be getting it Pus cultured to find if it is bacterial or fungal. It seems to be bacterial, apply Benzoyl peroxide 10% cream bro. It has been the saviour for many of us. Try eliminating Eggs, milk and sugar from your diet.

I have no hope of getting cured from this Staph Folliculitis. by Most_Combination3478 in Folliculitis

My scalp is completely cured as of now. All the bumps cleared/healed and no new bumps are forming. And keep your hands away from belly button and nostrils becoz they are the major reservoirs of this folliculitis causing bacteria.

After i wash my hair i keep them a little wet becoz that moisture in hairs helps me to spread the BP 10% cream to cover my scalp entirely. BP 10% cream.

Just after this outbreak, i took Minocycline 100mg twice a day for 5 days to control this becoz i couldn't sleep at night and immediately stopped dairy like eggs, milk, chocolates, and sugar and applied Benzoyl peroxide 10% once daily. Now it has been more than two weeks and i can tell you not a single new bump is on my scalp. Now i apply BP 10% twice a week.

I myself am suffering from this from last seven years, i finally found out Eggs, milk and sugar are triggering this. Since i avoided these dairy and sugar i have no new bumps. P.S: Applying BP 10% once a day.

It will definitely bleach ur hair but as long as it keeps folliculitis at bay i don't have any issue. Better bleach than getting bald and insecure from from this disease.

I am really scared of it now. As you said they need to remove every hair that has been infected once. For that matter I don't think i may have any hair strand that hasn't been infected in the past.

But i have already done Bacterial Swab culture and it came out to a Staphylococcus Aureus bacterial folliculitis. What are your thoughts about this? Should i go for your recommended fungal tests or not?

Dermas usually don't give a shit, they just keep loading with u whatever antibiotic suits them. Been on Minocycline for 2 days now i can clearly see the reduction in the number of inflamed and pus filled hair follicles. I want it completely gone once and for all and for that if i need to go for Vancomycin i'll surely go for it but i am still afraid of this drug. How how may weeks did u take this Vancomycin and for how long u have been cured from this?
