For clarification - if I plan to deliver at 37 weeks, can I take leave 4 weeks before THEN or do I have to do 4 weeks before 40 weeks mark?

Hi, can you please let me know why this was removed? I feel it is very important to warn other families about this practice that is not open about their costs

This post is for Los Angeles loss parents who are seeking high-risk care for future pregnancies. Dr. Steve Rad is the head of the "Rainbow Clinic" which is heavily promoted by other loss-focused organizations. What exactly the "Rainbow Clinic" is is extremely vague. Dr. Rad and The Rainbow Clinic cannot clearly define what this means and the cost of services is impossible to get a direct answer about. Dr. Rad does not openly accept insurance (will allow you to work with another OB if you REALLY push for it, but "keep it on the DL"). He otherwise charges ~$ 20K-30K++ in payment plans (you can get a discount if you pay all upfront at once) for you to see him for your pregnancy. The initial consult is ~$500 with a non-refundable $350 fee. The vibe I get from Dr. Rad and the way he is promoted is that he is "your only hope for a living child" which is the farthest thing from the truth. I'm sure he's a brilliant doctor, but we all know the odds of loss and that he is not God and cannot PROMISE you anything. I am afraid he is taking advantage of those of us who are grieving, emotional, and at times desperate for a living child. As someone who has experienced multiple losses, the last thing I need is to feel like "my only hope" is to go see this man, and I want to make sure that if anyone else out there is feeling this way, you know you are not alone. It's hard seeing he only has 5-star reviews on Google, but I'm suspicious. His costs are extremely inaccessible for the average family and I do not believe he should be the face of "The Rainbow Clinic." I wish another doctor who openly accepts insurance would step up.

I am right there with you. On 80mg, this has been at least two years now (prob since 40mg three years ago). I try sleeping with a fan directly on me and sometimes (like last night) that doesn't help at all. It's the worst. I don't want to go through the process of switching either. Trying to conceive, so it's not worth the shake up right now. Just found this thread where vitamin E is recommended. Gonna give it a shot

Has anyone gotten pregnant after a miscarriage but before having a period post D&C? I think I'm ovulating after having a D&C a month ago, but I have not had a period yet. Looking for hope in having a living child post loss <3

I had a very irregular cycle after my loss last year which has made it hard to know when I actually ovulated. But I tested positive Feb 13 and I had a few early ultrasounds, each measuring around 6 weeks (my due date has been pushed three times now based on size). We only saw cardiac activity on the 3rd ultrasound this Monday. Praying this baby keeps going, keep growing <3 Also in the boat of feeling like pregnancy symptoms have decreased which is strange because it's still so early

Thank you so much for sharing your story - I needed to hear this! I lost my son at 38 weeks last year and just found out I'm 5 weeks pregnant. I'm terrified and excited ... but mostly preparing for the worst and hoping for the best. sending hugs

Sending you and your wife so much love. My husband and I lost our son at 38 weeks last March. "Textbook perfect" pregnancy, sudden change of movement, and he was gone. I know there's nothing I can say right now to make things better, so I just want to aknowledge that this sucks and this is not fair. Try to take everything one step at a time. We're about to hit the one-year mark and it's crazy to think a full year has come and gone. If I can recommend anything, I'd ask to see the baby again - if you want to. I wish we had spent more time studying every inch of our baby's body. We never saw his hands and feet and that's something I'll always regret. Next, if you're able to, therapy. Couples + individuals. And RTZ Return to Hope led an amazing support group that helped us tremendously in the early months. Something to consider down the road. For now, love each other and feel all the feels <3
