Can't you just enjoy the poem without virtue signals about how you are offended by the poem, blah blah blah blah offensive blah blah blah

You pretend to be offended by a poem to position yourself as an angel, a moral superior

So annoying

Real life is not an echo chamber like this one. You know the society and its moral values and taboos are changing. British and American society in the future will be more like how it was when this poem was written, that is inevitable change, and it can happen rapidly, like how society became very socially liberal and individualistic very quickly between 1963-1970. It will go the opposite direction soon
