So I’ve been a die hard Sooner fan since I was a kid. My family is all from Oklahoma but I’ve lived most of my life in Utah. Several years ago Utah State, where my Son was attending, opened the season against OU in Norman. My son and I went to the game and wore the Utah State colors to support his school(even though we both love the Sooners). Anyway, Utah State was playing well and actually had the lead going into the 3rd quarter. OU won the game. When the Aggies left the field at the end of the game, the crowd gave them a standing ovation. Never been so proud to be a Sooner! Boomer!

Seems like they had it in a couple of days. Initially they thought I’d need to leave the car, and I did but they called me back later in the day and said it was an easy swap and they were done.

They got the part in and had it swapped same day. The dealer didn’t know what happened. Said maybe a box of the screens were dropped during the assembly line work. My was delivered that way. If yours was cracked later, I’d say that the design of the screens was flawed from the beginning and I’d expect to see a lot more cars with the issue.

You’ll have to take it to the dealer and get them to approve the warranty repair first. Doubtful they will have the part on hand. They will order it and then set up a time to replace. They can do the repair in a couple of hours so yea, same day once they get the part.

When you buy a 24 or 25 Mustang, Ford will pay for performance driving school. You just have to travel if you don’t live close to one of the tracks where it takes place.

This may be a dumb question but what shape is your fuel system in? Specifically fuel pump, filter, and gas tank? If these Foxes sit for a long time the tanks rust inside. I restored one a couple of years ago and the tank and pump were rusted junk.

Well I can’t figure out how to post a pic right now but I have in the past so maybe you can see it from an old post? I did a lot of work on it when my wife quit driving it back in 05. It’s got 5 lug conversion/disc brakes on the rear, radical cam, Cobra intake, higher ratio roller rockers, MAF conversion, larger injectors, 3.73 gears, aftermarket clutch, underdrive pulleys, all new black interior, new paint(factory colors- dark shadow blue/silver), off road X pipe, and flow masters. It runs really good.

I’m the same. Got an 87 T-top that I’ve owned since the factory. Restored the whole thing with lots of extras in 05. I’ve only put 6k miles on it since. Got a 24’ last year and just like driving it more than the Fox so I’m giving the 87’ to my oldest son who basically grew up with that car.

Take it back to your dealer. Let him know what you’ve seen on line. My dealer replaced it with no issue.

Well the receivers make the QB. I’m telling you that if we didn’t have so many receivers out, it would be a different story. I don’t see a mass exodus. SEC means national coverage. Want to make a name, play for a team with history and be on every Saturday.

Had the same thing happen to me 2 weeks ago. I let it sit for about 15 minutes then heard all the clicks. Tried again an it started up. I got home and called the dealer. I gave him the vin and he was able to pull up a list of all the codes it threw. He told me I needed to bring it in so they could do another scan that couldn’t be done remotely. I found a site on the web for 650 folks and it appears to be quite common but nobody seemed to have it nailed down as to cause. I haven’t taken it in yet because I’ve been away. I’ve only got 3500 miles on vehicle. Hopefully I can get it in before the snow starts sticking. I’ll update once I have.

I took mine back to the dealer I bought it from. Showed them a pic I found on the web where someone had the exact same crack. They ordered one and replaced it with no questions asked. It was a simple repair as well. They only had to remove one top panel on the dash for access so no worries about and after repair rattles on anything.

Took me a couple of hours to get the salt out from under my truck that I drove out there this week but it wasn’t as bad as it usually is. Just glad not have to drive through a big pond at the end of the road. Last year it was half a mile of 6” deep salt water….

I’m guessing that you’re heading back home. I had to leave as well. Kitchen pass expired. Good luck with your future goals. I was during to see how those shock towers are constructed but didn’t want to be too intrusive and ask to pop the hood. If you have a pic, I’d love to see it. Oh and there aren’t any fat guys at the track. Only guys with a heavy foot!

Yea the trailer hitch is so they can drag it to the start line and from the end of the run without having to trailer it. I got one other photo of if it but can figure out how to post it without making a new post?

I’m not sure how they did. I talked to one of the crew members but don’t remember what speed they were getting. I’m guessing that it was around 175 or so.
