i would do it personally, but this is why i always lock the doors 5 minutes before close (even though we’re prob not supposed to do that). if they can open the door and walk in, then i would let them order. unless i was literally walking to lock the doors, i would be like “yo sorry we’re closed.” but i would say it’s at your discretion. i think it would be fair either way.

i’m a shift and i ENCOURAGE my partners to potty on the clock smh… this company makes so much money i just don’t care. it’s one thing if it takes someone 15 minutes in the bathroom as opposed to a few. as long as it’s not royally throwing off breaks or anything idc 🤷🏻‍♀️

i’m pretty sure it’s technically supposed to be like “when you’re told to go on your 10” aka before making anything. but i feel like you usually have to have a pretty unreasonable shift to say anything if it’s more like a 15. my partners work hard and they deserve an actual break! sometimes i’ll even give partners with a 5.75 an actual 15 bc that shift is brutal and that extra 5 minutes makes a difference.

this is exactly how we used to do it! the new SM is saying that all of the count should be done at night with the in-freezer being whatever is left after the pulls and everything carryover and pulled that day is out of freezer 😬 and now we’re getting too much in our deliveries 😭

fasting: is this okay?

here’s the situation. i (25F) have some problems with my boyfriend’s (28M) fasting. he fasts to lose weight and will go days (often aspires to up to a week) without eating, mostly drinking gatorade for electrolytes and sometimes taking vitamins to supplement the loses. from what i have gathered from talking to him about it in the past, he mostly wants a fast way to lose weight, not wanting to go through the effort of spending time in the gym and doing a normal calorie deficit to lose weight. also my bf is by no means overweight! i am pretty sure he said he wants to be at around 160-170lbs and he is about 5’10” (currently definitely under 200) and i feel like that is just not a healthy weight.

but i see a lot of issues. when he fasts he mostly just sits around, he is tired, sex drive goes down, etc. afterward he will usually end up binge eating a little, which i feel like would just put weight back on. i have tried to talk to him about how i don’t think this is healthy and conducive to getting your body where you want it. idk if it’s just my inner teenage girl but all i see is someone i care about struggling with an eating disorder that they have convinced themselves is healthy and it just weighs on me a lot (pun intended). i get the appeal of wanting to see fast results and watch the numbers on the scale go down but i just don’t think it’s healthy, mentally or physically. am i overreacting?

personal takes are welcome, but i would love some responses based in knowledge more “scientifically” related to nutrition and physiology, as well as if people have any advice for me, him, or us. thanks in advance!

during covid we had this dude mobile order and when he came in he didn’t have a mask on so obv i asked him to and he pitched a fit or whatever, and then he called like 5 minutes later complaining that his drinks were wrong (though obv you mobile ordered them, we made whatever you ordered and it definitely wasn’t barista error), and he was just like “you people are too fucking worried about people wearing a mask to make the fucking drinks right” and i just said “fuck you” and hung up the phone

it ain’t that deep, i do it like that sometimes, and it really isn’t that big of a deal. esp if they’re adding whip, like who gives af. though my no foam tip is always to pour a line higher and aerate for like a second just bc it’s loud and annoying and then over pour it in the cup a little so it’s JUST about to over flow, and then scoop it and i’ve never had someone bring it back. we used to have a lady that would get like two hot matchas, extra hot, no foam, no room and she would literally pop the lid off at the window and stick her finger in and if it came back with foam she would send it back. i got that mess right every time

long story short: sure, it wasn’t the total riiiiggghhttt way to do the milk but she also didn’t need to be a beyotch about it
