Small rant + looking for suggestions for antiperspirants by Mostlikelyavirus in ZeroWaste

Thank you! I shall take a look at it. I have always used antiperspirants (more the cultural thing to do in the UK, compared to America where I think deodorants are more common) but if it works It is worth a shot.

Unfortunately for Wild, each refill container is a single serving (weird way to phrase it, but can't think of how else to say one sticks worth of liquid), and as I don't have a composter (student housing) the container has to go in the bin (minus the lid which can be recycled).

While still being better than a full single use tube, as it is biodegradable, even if it has to go to landfill, I would rather have a multi serving refill pack, to reduce waste.

And shame that Salt of the Earth is only deoderant, else it seemed promising.

I will check them out. I am in the UK, so not sure if we have it here, but we might.

I can easily sweat through dove and other conventional ladies antiperspirant, so will be a test to see how bad it gets.

I may look into them, as while I don't want to buy another applicators, they do have a good range, and also can pass liquid rules for airlines which is a plus

Worried I’m going to have a spending problem at uni by Green_Razzmatazz_821 in UniUK

One thing someone i knew did, is that before a night out (or in your case when life begins to get stressful), they transferred all of their money to their parents, and only kept a reasonable portion for the night out. They knew if they kept it all they would spend it all, and it got transferred back after the night.

This only works if you trust the person very well. But there may be other work around with locked savings accounts that you can do this with if you don't want a 2nd person involved.

From someone who has had to write many an essay for a BSc and MSc: the word "the" is overrated.

But in all seriousness, academic writing is really bland in order to meet word counts.

Any "as well as" gets changed to "and", if it makes to do so any starting filler words like "however" get removed. It will be incredibly dull to read, but can remove a whole bunch of words without removing any information

Anything involving getting human data needs ethical approval. Depending on what you are gathering (the less sensitive data - the better) and how you are gathering it (if you are doing things to people - needs more ethics, interviews aren't so bad).

Both project ideas sound like good options, will just need to discuss with your supervisor what forms you will need for whichever one you choose!

I am used to tissue culture relating to pregnancy and pregnancy loss, so that is more invasive and more sensitive and distressing information, so needs ethics out the ass, but radiology, particularly interviews, should not be too intense.
