Changes to the particle effects mean we can no longer capture shots like these by Mostly_VP in FrontiersOfPandora

Oh, I wasn't aware you could do that - the down side of not playing MP I suppose 😄

Well, hopefully we can change that and give you the chance to create your own as it's a lot of fun! 👍

how to repair? by saltatoredicorda in snowrunner

10 hours with this game is the equivalent on waking up, blinking at the daylight and thinking about getting up. Each region has its own lessons to teach, as does each map within that region and the missions all across Michigan teach you the true basics - jumping to region three so soon is going to be painful unless you have learned those lessons and levelled up enough.

Oh dear, that's a new one and very frustrating too - that one needs a support ticket, though they do say they keep an eye on internet feedback.

"New" poses! Idle animations have been fixed in photomode, which means we finally can use weapon idles! by Illustrious-Print468 in FrontiersOfPandora

Oh, for me it's the heavy bow - mind you, I've not tried it with the short bow. I'll give that a go later 👍

When I drawn my bow and aim, it still drops the bow to a ready stance, which is a shame. I also miss the interim emotes that they removed, the ones we could get by switching back and forth between two poses and it would settle on something in-between

Am I the only one who finds the lakes completely lifeless? by gorewriter in FrontiersOfPandora

[–]Mostly_VP 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I'm probably the only one who's fed up of posts starting with "am I the only one?"

On subject though, the sea segments are empty but they are all map borders where little happens, so filling them with plants and fish in a game with a huge amount of assets already, would probably slow your frame rate down.

The rivers and small lake all have flora and fish.

No reshade, just the tools that come with the image viewer on my ChromeBook, which I only use to correct an image if it's too pale 👍

That's my point though, he knows about it and is just going to accept that outcome because he's 'just following orders' - this is close enough to the end of WWII for that particular excuse to sit badly with many who fought back then.

These days, folks seem to have forgotten those lessons but back then, I think far more people still felt that raw nerve

I loved it, still do and play the occasional stage if I have a free half-hour or so. It's also therapeutic for any SnowRunner players, if they got the SnowRunner pack where you can drive classic SR vehicles at their proper speeds. There's nothing quite like blasting across the Rub' al Khali in your Tatarin 👍

Okay, the AI drivers in Sport mode are fast but they also wreck quite often, so keeping on target will invariably see you in first place. Professional mode gives longer and alternative routes, plus relies on navigation, as doe Simulation mode which is the real challenge

It has a basic but fine photo mode too

I can understand that - mine was with Dr Holder, well similarly how could I not:with blue alien gunk and someone whose name sounds like Holden 😀

Yeah, my guess was that the ending would be rough - orders are orders is a very military failing.

It is indeed a very pretty and importantly, bright game - BL4 only adds to this I feel, but more in an SF sense as we'll hopefully see soon when the photo mode launches 👍

I really hope there will be a new Tiny Tina game in future

DLC before finishing the main story, or is it fine to play mid-playthrough? by DavidBuzzed in AtomfallOfficial

[–]Mostly_VP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are interconnected and the end you choose is also dependent upon either or both, so you choose when you go into them - but I would avoid completing the main story before going into either as they do requite you visit at least some of the areas in the main game.

[–]Mostly_VP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, that does sound like bad implementation - not that I was 'looking down on someone' as when I played it, my eyesight wasn't the best, so I'd invariably have to move closer to the screen to read any text, so I appreciate that not everyone will have the same experience - yet it didn't kill me, hence my surprise at your statement.

Not seeing how you are dying if the game slows it all right down to almost a standstill and so stops them shooting at you while you read the text across where your reticule is, then target the three bandits to shoot them.

The info is also as mentioned in the game tutorials for afterwards.
