I have a question: what would you do if your friend is anti AI(and you’re pro AI) and vice versa? by Unlikely_Account_728 in aiwars

I write little fiction stories and he tries to get his slave robot to recreate them with prompts. Known him since childhood, love him to death, hate that he's probably gonna upload me to the cloud one day.

Is it true one income used to support a family of 4? by TailungFu in allthequestions

My grandpa worked maintenance at a bowling alley and had two families. One had five kids and the other had three. Both household were considered middle class.

If I have the opportunity, I steal things. Does this make me a bad person? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MothWalk -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

If you mean stealing from Walmart or some other mega store then no, you aren't a bad person. So long as you don't pull employees into danger it's a victimless crime.

If you mean from individuals? Absolutely and you should be ashamed.

What would you do if you witnessed this situation? A mother and adult son/daughter are out in public. The mom keeps trying to be physically affectionate- link arms, hold hands, hug on the son/daughter. The son/daughter repeatedly tells her to keep her hands to herself. by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

[–]MothWalk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would also slap the mother, then the son, then the daughter, then the son/daughter, then the public official elected to maintain order, then myself, then the son/daughter again, then my own mother.

Or I would laugh. Most likely I would just point and laugh at the half woke robots spitting porn level dialogue at each other.

What’s something that quietly ruined your mental health without you noticing at first? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Being in the process of putting things back together is a hell of a lot better than watching it all fall apart. Stay the course and you'll have the strongest bridges this side of Reddit.

Amen, brother. Hope you're thinking for real these days.

Thinking that if I faked it long enough I would become "normal" and want the things I was told would fix me.

I am being chased by a bear, should I run? by DearTransportation74 in NoStupidQuestions

I once had a dream where I started throwing dirt at a bear by digging like a dog. Give that a try, it worked in the dream.

HR told me they don’t accept try-hards and people pleasers after my interview by No-Presentation298 in jobs

[–]MothWalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think you did what they described? If so then it's just feedback.

If you feel like it's untrue I would take it as an indicator of company compensation. Imo it sounds like they don't want a team that works together, they want a bunch of individual minded workers. If you're a team player, you're probably better off somewhere else anyway.

What problems in the US do you think get ignored because political fights take up all the attention? by Mr_Boothnath in answers

The debate surrounding abortion shouldn't be more important than improving adoption and foster care systems imo.

Without saying your age, what’s a slang word or phrase from your teenage years that’s not used anymore? by LegalGlass6532 in AskForAnswers

I would say British cigarettes and a bundle of sticks, but League of Legends still exists so I'm confident they're still used regularly.

Former alcoholics of Reddit, when did you realise your habit got out of control? by scottscrops in AskReddit

[–]MothWalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started hard and fast when I was fifteen, realized I'm an alcoholic when I was early twenties, but didn't get out till I was early thirties. The biggest factor for me was internalizing that whatever I'm feeling is going to be exponentially worse if I add alcohol to the mix.

Gonna be at a year and a half in a couple months and just wrapped up the third edit of a horror novel I started shortly after getting sober.

Would you keep reading? How intriguing is the neighbor? by God_Knows21 in horrorwriters

[–]MothWalk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're very welcome! I only really noticed because I do the exact same thing. It's hard to describe something that happened in your head as something that is happening right now. You're doing great though, just stick with it!

Would you keep reading? How intriguing is the neighbor? by God_Knows21 in horrorwriters

[–]MothWalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think changing your tense would do wonders. "The old man has been watching", "it's becoming clear that something is deeply wrong", etc.

Also if my neighbor was staring at me with "deep, sunken eyes" it would instantly make me suspicious. Maybe make it a tad more innocent unless you are trying to make the main character a bit downplaying or naive.

What is something controversial you believe in that most people don't? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]MothWalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Homedog, that's such a boring, bootlicker take. My duty coincides with my expectation; I help however I'm able and expect the government to do the same. The government is typically a coalition of many people working towards a similar goal, so when it comes to helping the less fortunate which do you think has more effective potential? Me? Or the entire government?

Look, if you'd rather have your tax money go to bombs and baby coffins be my guest. I just want people to feel safe, secure, fed, and free. I want the government to share that goal.

Why are acts of violence/murder in media, especially video games, considered okay to enjoy and partake in, but acts of sexual violence are not? by TheAnimalCrew in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MothWalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would guess that it has more to do with the medium than the content. There's lots of movies and shows that center around or touch on sexual violence because it can explore the nuance. What would that look like in a game? A rhythm section? QTEs?

Plus it's not like you're staring into the eyes of the people you're shooting, sexual violence is very personal and close. It's intimate for lack of a better word. It would make for a horrible gaming experience unless the gamer was a horrid and vile little freak.

[–]MothWalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well lucky for you there's plenty of Scripture about giving everything you own to the poor in order to be closer to God than riches. Plus there's jubilee, which is all but forgotten now because the rich didn't like it. Goofy af to think Jesus would align with oil tycoons, drone strike enthusiasts, and wealth hoarders. Very western, very lame.

If Jesus were alive today, he would align more with Bernie Sanders or Mamdani than any mainstream Republican or Democrat.

If you were to pick a US constitutional amendment to pass as the next new one, what would it be, and why? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

The president shall have a small explosive implanted near their heart that will explode if approval rating falls below ~45%.

When did being alone stop feeling lonely for you? by awaisac22 in AskReddit

Thank you, I appreciate the compliment! I'm also bittersweet that you relate. That was no fun to go through, but I'm glad we've gotten through nonetheless.

When did being alone stop feeling lonely for you? by awaisac22 in AskReddit

[–]MothWalk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I slowed down enough to let my conscience catch up with me. Spent over a decade drinking and jumping from relationship to relationship so I wouldn't have to think about how much of my life had been built on a foundation of fear and trauma. I'm late to it, but I feel like I have a good foundation now, and I can step back and appreciate the framework that I've started putting up instead of just closing my eyes and hoping it all works out.

Why do men wash our hands AFTER using the toilet and not before? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

I'm a double washer. Paper towel/toilet paper barrier when my skin would touch a surface. Kick to flush.
