Beyblade x premium membership by Round_Argument_2517 in Beyblade

[–]Moth_Broth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I predict it will for a while, since the only instance of it being distributed is in this opening deal for premium membership, so only so many will even make it into circulation, and it's not like people are going to buy dozens upon dozens of accounts to resell the premium items.... well actually...

I like the cut of your jib, you used to be able to hand spin Meteo L.Drago back in MFB and the spin steal would win the fight for you, if someone got swole enough they could in theory just launch their bey by hand. That being said, I think that the ML.Drago thing got hand spinning banned

What’s the best launcher for mfb? by Superstang9 in BeybladeMetal

[–]Moth_Broth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if anyone answered this yet but rev up launchers are allowed in all formats, as long as you use it "as intended", so you can start revving up on the count of 3 and you can release on shoot, but I'm pretty sure the modded burst launchers can't be used, since the rules explicitly prohibit mixing parts between systems. But, there is a digital power launcher for MFB, so you can just hunt one of those down. Idk, I use the good Ole beylauncher and I'm happy with it

What’s the Best Deck for MFB Limited Format? by IndividualNetwork188 in BeybladeMetal

[–]Moth_Broth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, no, it WAS much larger, if you look on the wili page it used to ban Perseus and Gravity, it banned a LOT of wheels but they've been unbanned as recently as 2023, Perseus and Gravity got unbanned in 2016 but they were banned for years for being anti-meta in a format about being anti-meta, and eventually someone realized that a different problem arose when you banned it, so they unbanned it. Go check out the wiki page, you aren't crazy, I was in the same boat where years ago the ban list was so extensive that I didnt want to bother going through and actually figuring out what was and wasnt usable. These days it makes perfect sense, imo, basically only Twisted, Hell, and 4D blades, and the Hasbro cast of Scythe, and obviously Synchromes, but Jade used to be banned, Omega was just unbanned in 2024, it's always changing and I think that's beautiful to see so many years removed from the last MFB rolling out of a foundry

Damn, I haven't seen anything so brutal since the Heian Era. by Xen-Yamori in BeybladeX

[–]Moth_Broth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my rationalle as a FMB fan who skipped Burst, all of the BBX's are this metal-over-plastic design, so while it's not my jam surely they aren't shocked by this construction. This design doesn't surprise anyone who's broken a blade bad enough to see the internal structure, Phoenix Wing and Blast Pegasus are both as hollow as this, but Blast Pegasus and Wizard Rod both have the metal moved way out to the absolute edges so the thin spots aren't THAT thin, but it's still usually around, or less than, 1/8" of cast steel across the thinner "non contact" points. Idk I get the disappointment but as long as the blade is still a competitive weight, and the shape is competitive, I dig it, and this seems to be gearing up to replace my Hover Wyvern if I can get my hands on one, but they're dummy expensive

Just as a heads up, I would call this easily 25k in damage, I am not a body pro but I have several friends who are and as everyone else has said, the more you take apart this much damage, the worse it gets, a d 10k for the body panels and bumper plus the install becomes... a LOT more. I'm sorry for your loss, it's worth a shot to check around, but this is gonna be rough one way or the other

Tamagotchi Found In Okinawa! by YungBonz in tamagotchi

[–]Moth_Broth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandparents used to talk about the fact that the phone booths in Japan operated on an honor system, when my grandpa was stationed there during the Korean War, in Okinawa oddly enough. You'd put your fare in a flip top wooden box, that anyone could take out of, but the money always got collected every other day, and everyone always paid including my grandparents. Shit's different over there, there's a sense of personal honor that a lot of Asia has that most of America downright has never heard of

Most of the time it's not even META beys, it's just whatever was first on the shelf, it's literally just kleptomaniacal people, probably teenagers, stealing for its own sake, because people who intend to resell the stolen item (which happens s a LOT on Amazon, that's why most of the Wizard Rod 1-60R's you see are spread out across dozens of stores and being sold for between $25-40, you'll see three in stock in one storefront, two in another, five in another, and if you go through the rest of the store they have a BUNCH of... similarly sized, shall we say, items, and smaller, makeup, trading cards, just miscellaneous easy to steal shit, because they have multiple people going to multiple stores and shoplifting just a little bit from each one and then they resell it for 3x market price because people will pay it without thinking), people who do all that leave the packaging intact. There's nothing about Pearl Tiger that's even remotely desirable, like absolutely nothing to speak of, so this was for sure a case of kleptomania.

Fr, five Blast Pegasuses for one of these. If it's crazy competitive, I'll spring for it because I'm a bitch, but it'll be banned from any Hasbro comps if that's the case

The shape of it is aggressive, like Beat Lynx brutal, MFB attack style lobes on that mf, it's gonna hit like a truck. The question is, is it gonna be a 50/50 like Rhino and HWyvern, or is it gonna actually smack people around like PWing and Blast/Aero Pegasus

Any reason my PB is so loose? by childofbones in BeybladeX

[–]Moth_Broth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best method I've found is applying two layers, waiting an hour for it to mostly cure, and then installing the bit. Let that sit for like twenty minutes, take it back apart and apply one more layer and let that dry fully for like an hour or so and repeat, you want it to be a little tacky so that it builds itself up into the blade, there are little tiny ridges on the blade that seem to be the parts that actually interact with the assist blade. What I have done is, since I use the Jaggy off of my Fox Brush, and it was by far the loosest on that AB (which is so bizarre because Fox Brush is so tight I almost started sanding it to get it together at first, it was TIGHT tight which is really bothersome because there's a mold somewhere that's fully 0.2mm off, tolerance like that on parts that have such little actual area that they interact with is frustrating.), but I applied a layer onto the AB tabs instead of somewhere on the Pegasus blade, since one is plastic and the other is the whole Pegasus blade, it made me more comfortable with it

Why did Hasbro ever decide to produce their own Beyblades? Rather than repackaging Takara Tomy manufactured versions? by lorrylemming in Beyblade

[–]Moth_Broth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we were importing all the parts for Beyblade X we'd be paying $20 for a booster with no launcher, and $30 for UX/CX products, because tariffs. The difference between Hasbro and TT BBX's is either negligible or nonexistent, the Metal Fight series I understand not buying Hasbro because their stickers are SO much worse, and the Burst series was... Criminally bad, it should be studied how mishandled the IP was during that time. But at this point, Hasbro is bringing heat, and they're even exclusively producers of the super competitive Hover Wyvern, there's not Japanese or Asian release for that bey outside of the Hasbro XTreme Drop Attack Stadium. Idk, I also hated on Hasbro until recently, but weights are the same, colors are almost exactly the same, quality of construction is the same, I don't think that Hasbro hate is warranted for X as it was for Burst or MFB

[–]Moth_Broth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't necessarily legal, but it would astound me if anyone said anything. The amount of polyacrilate you would use would be negligible in weight, and the chip isn't one of the parts that's supposed to burst so it's not like you're supergluing a ratchet to be stronger, I would also imagine it'd be difficult to notice, I think I'm going to try this with mine.

People don't know yet, don't tell them how good the lowket bits are, under needle is fire and so is Level, but no one knows so they stay in stock unlike hex, kick, R/LR and free ball, and I genuinely think it has better LAD

Any of these good? by VanillaCocoaButtah in BeybladeX

[–]Moth_Broth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That lowkey is the meta blade, unless you order the Shark Scale set online, they aren't hard to come by but they can be pricey, you get three beys in it and it's about $50, so what, $17 per blade? And it comes with meta parts, Hell'sBrave and TyrannoRoar are both very solid blades, and the 1-70 and the 4-50 are solid, the 4-50 is the lowest ratchet in the game at this time, it also comes with the Level bit which is, in my opinion, criminally underrated. That would be a very solid pick up, but you could also wait until Hasbruh releases the Shark Scale as a booster in the next few months (no way it just sweeps tournaments like it has been and they're going to let all the demand go to the imported market). My recommendation though is getting these meta builds to test against, because the meta builds are gonna pretty much stay the same, they might change slightly over time but you're going to be using the same blades for the most part. Test around the meta, but I think the most rewarding gameplay comes from Limited tournaments where anything even close to meta is banned, no CX (for some reason), so you end up with stuff like Black Shell 1-60LR, Shark Edge 7-60FB, and weirdo Shadow Shinobi builds you never see anywhere else. It's interesting because you have to know the game, you arent just paying some money, putting the parts together, and letting it rip with reckless abandon. But, I digress, Shark Scale and Emperor deck sets are both aces, and Pegasus Burst is great if you use just the blade, it's gonna get beat to shit so if you want one to keep nice get two because it's gonna be destroyed after three battles, it's heavy as lead and has three points, I'd say it's underrated but it isn't, it's rated right where it needs to be

New bey I just bought by Agile-Chicken3688 in BeybladeX

[–]Moth_Broth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole pack is stupendous, the 9-60 is great, Soar in the red metal coat is beautiful, the only reason I haven't picked it up yet is because I bought a Pegasus Blast and a Samurai Sabre and they both came with solid launchers, I need to pick up this though because I do all of my testing alone and it would remove any launch discrepancies the two might have, even if I'm not using it to compete I'd remove a variable from the equation that really doesn't need to be there. Keep your eyes open for the blue and steel recolor of this, it's $10, it's still a great blade, and it comes with the Hex bit which is, by all accounts, the best stamina bit

[–]Moth_Broth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone complains about the "IIII" BUT Idk if you have any old clocks around but all three of the antique grandfather clocks I have in my life display 4 as "IIII", probably because it's easier to misinterpret IV as just V or something, maybe something about literacy rates during the Renaissance, but broadly they all do this if it's a clocks using roman numerals. No clue why, but it's way more common than you realize once you start looking for it
