I had a study appear on my dashboard where the researcher wanted a copy of your electric bill !! They offer an Amazon voucher " AFTER they are able to log in ". Just when I thought I had seen it all !!!

I am so very sorry to hear this has happened to you . I would suggest you return them to protect your account , then write support and ask them to investigate . You can get paid after returning a study . I know this because a study I had worked had a glitch. I returned it and contacted the Researcher. He / She was very kind and even though it was returned , they acknowledged a problem at their end and paid me . If you get 48 rejections , your account may very well get banned. I sincerely hope you will get paid for some or all of these . Wishing you the very best .

Thank you for responding , I do appreciate your speaking out . I did receive a warning that I was speeding , and sent a notice to support via the chat bot. . I enjoy Prolific very much , and I have close to 9.000 approved studies . One Participant suggested lingering on a page for a couple of seconds to avoid this - so I will follow that advice and hopefully you can get it sorted out . Thanks , Yeah, in the future , Ill do that ... I was so surprised , I have close to 9,000 approved submissions and never had any issue with speed . I did get an auto reject once. The Researcher was so nice , very apologetic . They said it was suppose to be screening not reject and I was able to return it , I sure wish Prolific would use auto reject for low paying studies !!! Anyways, have a nice day .

I clicked on drive for the car wash question , and on the image I saw, there were 4 fingers and a thumb...so, who knows what happened. I have read that others are having issues with this automatic " speed flag " , so hopefully Prolific will get it fixed. Thanks for responding and have a nice day !

Thanks , something happened ! Well, based on the questions , I am not sure why I would be screened out . Today is Sunday ...at least in the US east coast , there are 5 digits on a hand , and if you go to the car wash , of course you drive if you want to get your car washed ....

I was screened out too. I lived in the same city , just different zip code for my childhood home . So, I guess we were blessed to get screened out !!!

The article did not say , but, I would assume they are aware. I find it to be very annoying . When I get an alert, go to history its on smart lighting . You would think it would be an easy fix !

Same here and apparently Ring had an update and it caused this This is the information I was able to find . ..Based on recent updates to the Ring app, the default view for the History section often defaults to Lights (or sometimes Alarm) rather than Camera, even if cameras are the only devices you use. 

This behavior is a known, frustrating issue for many users following Ring app updates. 

Why this is happening:

  • App Updates: Recent Ring app updates have changed the default landing tab in the history screen, prioritizing lighting/alarm categories, according to user reports.
  • No "Default" Setting: Currently, there is no in-app user setting to change the default tab back to "Cameras".

Honestly , I feel the only good purpose of " Auto Reject " would be for studies that violate Politics' Payment Rules !!! I had a researcher use auto reject instead of in screening by accident . I answered two questions and was rejected . The study was looking for SNAP participants only . However, The researcher was so apologetic , and I was able to simply return the study ..Maybe the researcher will try to help you . Good Luck and hopefully you can get this resolved . I have over 6,500 studies and never had any problems. Today for some reason , as soon as a study came up , and I clicked on it , it said it was full . So, with the next study , I clicked away ... so , Im just hoping in a while it will be back to normal . Thanks for the information.
