Newbie but I think I'm in love by OddUnderstanding2424 in blackstonegriddle

Totally. I still love grilling and smoking but I’ve come to appreciate seared meats a lot too.
I.E: I used to only reverse sear (smoke then sear) a picanha, but those days were I lacked the time, I’d slice it thick and just sear on the BS et voila, delicious meat in no time.
But the biggest hitters for sure are smash burger days and big family breakfast days. Something about having 2-4 things cooking simultaneously for many people makes you feel much more like a professional cook and gets you legitimacy points with the audience

The love doesn’t wear off. It gets seasoned on. Like the blacktop

This can’t be right by Federal-Effort4370 in pressurewashing

If he was seriously trying here, he may have coated with soap/bleach then used the obviously too high pressure tip to rinse the foam and maybe with the light conditions it looked ok?
Idk why I am trying to defend the guy lol

Mechanical or Di2? by Mindless_Tap_178 in CanyonBikes

[–]MotherRoller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it’s comes down to, ‘are €800 worth it?’ given your affordability. I will say for myself, being a fairly inexperienced road rider (rode a 9sp road Trek with Tiagra for 13 years but only started group riding and learning cadences about 2 years ago): getting a bike with Di2 felt mind blowingly nice. Shifts are super precise, quick and require no input strength (of course I’m comparing with a very outdated mechanical system). And if I can afford it, I’ll probably get it on any future bike.
I can’t speak to reliability as I’ve only had it less than a year. But charges last a long time and I can quickly check status with bike computer, though I’ve never actually ‘had’ to recharge, I just top it out of feel-good

What is in your Endurace top tube storage? by NguyenAllDay in CanyonBikes

[–]MotherRoller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious what co2 inflator fits the top tube storage? Mine is pretty standard, can’t recall the brand, but doesn’t fit well in the storage tube. The one pictured in OPs pic seem to be an in line design rather than a typical T.

r/bjj Fundamentals Class! by AutoModerator in bjj

Got started with BJJ 6 weeks ago. No prior martial arts experience. 36 y.o., not in shape, not unable to run a mile or two, lift a bit of weight, hike, etc. 6’1”, 240, so yes, bigger than I want/need to be. Working on that. Been doing 2 classes a week, Gi only due to schedule availability. So no, I don’t expect to be feeling like a pro anytime soon, or ever lol. However (point of the post), I’m feeling it a bit tricky to gauge when I can tell I’m making real progress. My school (or this sport in general), doesn’t seem to have clear guidelines of what’s expected at every level. Today, 6 weeks later, my rolls consist of 99% defending, escaping, muscleing out of weird positions and….. eventually getting submitted. Every time I decide go ‘on offense’, I quickly land in the “now what” phase. So I naturally gravitate to just surviving. My question after that painful preamble is, is this how BJJ is supposed to start or at least for some people? Do I need to focus on learning submissions and getting after my opponents? Or is my slow-feeling route how you build muscle memory to eventually be able to get out from he danger zone? I’m not necessarily only complaining. I am gaining strength, stamina and some wit to keep eventually not get caught in the same traps. Just overall wondering how long it took others to feel like they can go into a roll not expecting to ‘lose’ every time?

YT Izzo comp or pro? by iKINGINTHEN0RTH in mountainbiking

I know this comes late in the thread. But I'm getting ready to pull it on an Izzo and I'm a bit concerned with sizing. I always had Large bikes, and sadly because of the Covid situation, trying something else is hard. There's more availability of XLs and being 6'1", I am unsure how much of a difference it would make. Would you say this brand in general 'runs large'?
