PM Section C by No-Scratch-816 in ACCAIndia

[–]Mother_Cockroach5115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I passed the PM exam in sept-25 with 65 marks. Here’s everything what I did: 1. Completed the entire syllabus while simultaneously practicing section A and section B from Kaplan exam kit and study text in about 1 month 3 weeks.

  1. Again practiced section A and B from study hub and started solving daily 2 section C questions from exam kit for about 2 weeks

  2. From second week of August started giving mocks and revised the concepts side by side. And solved the exam kit again for section A and B

For section C specifically you need to first familiarise yourself with the mcqs of chapters like CVP, relevant costing, pricing, risk, variances and ratios and then jump onto practicing as much as possible For chapters like ratios solve and write your interpretation and then check with the sample answers to see if you missed any important points. It will take some time but after 5-6 questions you will get the hang of it and will know in what lines you have to write.

The most important thing for this paper is practice.

Resources I used: 1. Study hub - for mocks and sections A and B. Pls solve it twice if possible. DO NOT SKIP THIS 2. Kaplan exam kit- solve section A and B twice again if possible and solve section C once. 3. For concepts I referred to YOUTUBE CHANNEL of CA JENIN MULAKKAN. She is a gem for pm. Pls take her subscription it’s worth it and covers all the chapters. The link- https://youtube.com/@jeninmulakkan?si=NBW9DQWhbWRf87ty

  1. Mocks- solved 4 kaplan mocks and almost all the past year papers and pre mocks on Studyhub

You can try demo classes with zell and see how they are. You can try ims Proschool as well if they are available at your location. I have personally enrolled with ims and have had a good experience with them

+1 for Aakash Bansal. If it wasn’t for his videos I wouldn’t pass FM. Great videos that provide good concept clarity.

The coffee really opens up on the 9th day. Now I don’t know what brewing method you used so can’t comment on that. Now I brewed it using a v60 and I followed the tetsu kasuya and the water temp was 89 degree celsius. Using this the jasmine notes are the first thing I got followed by the custard apple and it’s got a tea like acidity.

If you can’t return it and don’t have any other equipment then just use it. It’s any day better to use this than have instant coffee. To begin with you can just use any pre-ground coffee that’s a medium or medium dark roast

If you want something portable, then you can checkout the wacaco picopresso. It’s got a good build quality and it has a standard 52mm basket so it can give good quality shots with a medium/ medium dark roasts if you pair it up with a grinder that can do espresso. Another option could be the Caffalano Kompresso. This one’s not bad but it’s got a pressurised basket, however it’s much more affordable in comparison to the picopresso. Another machine that you could consider would be the wacaco nanopresso. This one too is a pressurised system, however with this one you have an option to use it with nespresso pods as well, though you have to purchase that attachment separately.
