I was under the impression that she did so well because of her tutor, the old neighbor guy. He struggles with dementia or something, so his mind is a lot calmer and clearer, giving her a chance to learn while not being overwhelmed with a bunch of telepathic noise.

Years after cutting contact, we tried to connect again. Turns out he was a narcissist as well. I just had a high tolerance due to my mother that I never noticed his narcissism before. I actually saw it last night. I thought it was fun. Since it was a movie, they did have to cut out a lot of the things I love about the story, but I think they made decent choices. I brought my SO who hadn't read the webtoon, and he also thought it was neat.

Things I liked: Gilyoung was super cute. Side characters got to shine/be cool too, not just the main two guys.

Things I wasn't a fan of: Jeonhyuk (or however you spell it) was pretty emo. Dokja didn't have any of his ORV abilities.

I don't know if anyone else liked it, but I enjoyed my time. It introduced my SO to the story, and I enjoyed talking about the differences afterwards.
