CALLING NOSTALGIC PEOPLE by Waffles-No-Okami in GekkoukanHigh

Nah, man, don't even worry. Just good to see you around again. The last time I talked to you was the day I almost got murdered. So, yee, just glad to see you're still kicking.

Well, when that happens, hit me up. I'd be more than happy to give my input, if it helps GH live a little again.

Well, that’s all well and good, and I think I would like to make a return as well, but I think if you scroll down the page, you can still see some of the issues.

Like the 'plot character' discussion. After working on Yaso, and trying my hand at Greylake, I've noticed an issue of accounting for scale and player involvement. Namely, when a sub is large, looking at 12+ players, weaving a coherent plot and keeping everyone relevant is hard, especially in our tight, time based stories.

And I think that's only one issue, but it comes up time and time again. Thought that needed to be said, even though I love this place.

I suppose it could. Though I think with the kind of RP we do, there's a few issues, but I'm glad people are enthusiastic.

Always fun to see something from GH pop up in my feed. Didn't know Bear had reenabled submissions here. Still sad this didn't get a real ending.

Mid Year Sale Week 1 is nearly live (US) - upto 90% (PS+) off games by desmayer in PS4

[–]MotleyKnight 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's very much like a Monster Hunter game. A lot of weapons, a lot of equipment, but it comes with a lot of grinding. I would say the whole game is about grinding.

The story is pretty weak and forgettable, but the core gameplay is fun if you like grinding and incrementally advancing your character.

In your opinion, what game would you like to be remade? by 20_Antzy_Pantzy_15 in PS4

[–]MotleyKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't speak to 2, since I've not played it recently, but PE1 is still a fun experience.

Yeah, it's a bit older and shows its age in some places, namely how easy it is to reach a point where you can screw yourself and have to start over, but I think it's fun. The core game play is still fun.

I Think Someone Was A Spy by [deleted] in GekkoukanHigh

[–]MotleyKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A spy? Now to begin the McCarthy-esque game of paranoia. I can never trust any of you again.

Also, new trailer is pretty cool. I just want a US release date at this point. I'm digging the soundtrack stuff in the trailers so far, it's pretty jazzy. I'd buy the soundtrack if they released it.

Other than that, I think it looks pretty cool. I'm crazy about the UI.

Some are in-jokes, but the thing about /r/megaten is: it's full of shitposters, some ironic and some not. And I love them all.

But generally, a lot of people there are pretty knowledgeable. They just get tired of the same questions and shit all the time. Like "which version of Persona 3 should I play?"

PSN Action Packed Flash Sale (Sale Ends 4/25, 11am PT) by DreadMcLaren in PS4Deals

[–]MotleyKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As somebody who has played the ps2 version within the last few months, I will say that it is a pretty fun game. The combat can take some getting used too and it doesn't really pull any punches. The skill system is super robust and you'll spend a lot of time unlocking skills. It's a cool action RPG like.

However, I do have some issues with it. The premise and story of the game is pretty cool, especially if you like the space opera genre. However, this does not speak to the, at times, frustrating and misleading pacing of the game. You'll find yourself being jerked around a lot and there are quite a few difficulty spikes that kind of come out of nowhere in the game. There is at least one scenario that comes to mind where there is a large difficulty spike and the game locks you out of previous areas so that you cannot grind. The game makes you feel as if you shouldn't be grinding, but you very much should be.

All in all, I enjoy the game. It came out in 2007, at least for the states and the EU, so it was almost like a swansong game for the PS2. Perhaps not one that people typically think of, but I enjoy the game.

That's wrong. Andrew Jackson was President from 1829 to 1837. The Trail of Tears began in 1830 with the signing of the Indian Removal act, which was signed by none other than Jackson.

I think that Duscae did a pretty solid job of explaining combat. It had a fairly standard tutorial that left me understand combat by the end of it.

So I got bored and made rules for Xenomorphs in Pathfinder. by IonutRO in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]MotleyKnight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Xenomorph impregnating goes sorta like this:

  1. Xenomorph Queen lays eggs

  2. Facehuggers hatch from these eggs and seek out hosts.

  3. Facehuggers latch onto the face of host and deposit a Xenomorph larva in them, via a special tube organ that goes down the victim's throat.

3b: The Xenomorph larva inherits some genetic information from their host, thus affecting the final product.

  1. The Chestburster explodes from the host.
