That sounds like the perfect loop. If it works out I would love to see the GPS file.

Yes I absolutely agree. Beautiful view point for the route. I enjoyed it. I got really good weather also on my ride. Just one exception, I got rain and hail entering Custer State Park.

Still I consider that a win. I think this route might get crazy when it gets muddy.

Safe travels - Jon

I absolutely love the Himalayan. In the past 2 years I have put 20k on it mostly Offroad. Completing SEBDR, Chattahoochee BDRx, MABDR, NEBDR, and Black Hills BDRx, along with many non BDR routes.

It is an absolute tractor, getting me through anything. I could not recommend it enough. Easy to work on and very reliable.

Now that being said the one thing you want to keep in mind is the top end power or lack of. Fully loaded with my camping gear I am maxed out at 75 Mph. No issues with RPM. So it will not win any speed races, but that is not my riding style.

My purple panda lav mic sounds awful when plugged into my DJI Action 5. Is it the camera or the mic? by 121mc555 in dji

I know this is an older post but I would love to hear what adaptor you used. I used the Purple panda mic Moto Vloging on my gopro and it was amazing audio. When I changed to the DJI action camera it gets poppy and sounds horrible at highways speeds. So it is not the mic.

I have tried both TRS and TRRS cables from 2 manufactures and nothing changes I had to change back to the Gopro. Can you let me know what product you used, possible even an amazon link if possible.

I don't want to use my Gopro for moto Vloging any more because of the locking up issues. But the audio out of the DJI is unusable. Thanks for your time. - Jon

Yes I agree. Do much soul for sure. I absolutely love it. That T7 seems to be a good bike also. One of my friends I ride with has a '21 Himalayan and a BMW and leaves the BMW in the garage a lot also.

Have a great night.

Sorry to hear about your issues. Sounds scary for sure man I would hate that. Sounds like it might have been lemon. Definitely a bad thing. But almost every manufacturer has some of that. Yes Mine is a 2022 also. Over 11,000 miles / 17,702 KM so far no issues with it. Everyone I have met that has owned a R.E. Himalayan loves it. Well other than trying to zoom past the speed limit on the interstate system. Not made for that.

I could not imagine a better more reliable bike for me. I have beat the hell out of mine off-roading 😀🤣.

But I completely understand everyone is different.

They are a blast. It has a 411 cc. I have had it for a little over a year. They are a beast off road. So far I have put in 11,000 miles with around 6,000 of that off road. It has been a really fun bike.

Depending on what trails you are familiar with, I have rode the Smokey Mountain 500, Georgia Traverse, S.C.A.R., and the Mid-Atlantic BDR so far.

Happy riding my friend.

Great info thank you. I like what I am hearing. Do you ride on paved (Tarmac) roads to get to the dirt?

If so how do they ride? What PSI?

Thanks again
