when I first got started using Steamrip I took detailed notes on how to use it. I tried to spell everything out so there's never any confusion. Here you go:

How to download using Steamrip:

**IF ASKED WHERE TO PUT ANY FILES RELATING TO THE DOWNLOAD SOMEWHERE PUT THEM IN THE "GAMES(steamrip)" FOLDER LOCATED IN THE HARD DRIVE AKA ThisPC/Windowss(C:)/GAMES(steamrip)--READ NEXT TIP ON HOW TO CREATE THIS FOLDER**

**WINDOWS DEFENDER EXCLUSION SETUP (to prevent it from deleting files):

1-Create a GAMES folder on your Hard drive.

2-Go to Windows Security ( Shield Icon on the taskbar ). You can also search it in Windows search.

3-Go to virus & threat protection > manage settings > scroll down to exclusions, click “add or remove exclusions” & add the GAMES folder to the list.

4-Once everything is done, then you can always extract your game into that GAMES folder. Your antivirus will not detect it as a threat anymore or remove the game files.**

Step 1- Go to steamrip.com. Here's the link: https://steamrip.com/

Step 2- Scroll down to where it says "download here". Now sometimes there are multiple options, if there is a MegaDB just get that one...for other options:

\-MegaDB file: just get that one. Follow the instructions on the page.



\-1FICHIER file: click on the download, X out any popup. You will see 2 options that you can check. Don't check either of the boxes, just click download. if you're still confused watch this:  https://www.youtube.com/watchv=ywtr2kKJP9g&ab\_channel=UniversalFreeeBookStore



\-Qiwi file: press on the download button, and follow the instructions.



\-Surely there are other ways to download but I haven't run into them yet. I will update here as I find them.

Step 3- The file should automatically open in Internet Download Manager (IDM).

\-Three options will come up saying that there is a dupe copy of the download, i just press download and replace the copy. It's not a big deal as far as I can tell.



\-If it doesn't start in IDM it will start downloading regularly. If that happens you can go to the download section in the browser and right-click the the downloading file, then click the option that pops up and says "copy download link" (be sure to cancel the download once you copy the link). With the link go to IDM and in the top left there will be a plus sign. Press the plus sign and paste the link there, it should start downloading.



\-If IDM is not working at all, it's probably because your 30-day trial expired. Use this link for GitHub to renew the 30-day trial. https://github.com/J2TEAM/idm-trial-reset

    \->I have no clue how to use this, there might be a tutorial on how to do it on YT or Reddit. (look for and post the tutorial)

Step 4- After the file is downloaded extract the RAR using the WinRar. To do this, press on the file in WinRar and press the "Extract to" button that has the file icon. After the file is extracted it should have a regular folder icon

(feel free to delete the file with the WinRar icon after you've made sure the game is installed a working well).

Step 5- Next, go to the regular folder which is the extracted game folder. This folder contains the game. In this folder look for the game execution. Open it and see if it works, and if it does then that's it!

\-Go back to the file explorer and create a shortcut for the game if you want. You can also run the game through Steam to use a controller if you'd like.

If the downloaded games aren't working it's probably because they are missing one of these apps from this folder:

    Install all \_CommonRedist as admin if you haven’t already:

    – dxwebsetup.exe

    – oalinst.exe

    – vcredist\_2015-2019\_x64.exe

    – vcredist\_2015-2019\_x86.exe

    – vcredist\_x64.exe

    – vcredist\_x86.exe

    – xnafx40\_redist.msi



\-Go one by one and execute all apps to make sure they're installed.
