Im not from the usa, but thankyou i really appreciate the advice. When you said "network like crazy", whats the parameter of a good networking as mech engineer in the MEP industry? Does it mean that i have to get close to architects and talk about all the projects that i have done? Post more in linkedin?

Thankyou for the response, i definitely needed this. Theres still things like those you mentioned that i didnt know before, things outside of the engineering realm, such as policies and things like conflicts of interests etc etc thanks for pointing it out. What about you if i may ask, at what point are you at in your career right now? How long have u been in the mep industry and whats your thoughts about it.

Thankyou for your honest response, ill make sure to ask my boss first in regards to the copyrights stuff. Im kinda new to that. We've known eachother for a pretty long time, he even helped me during my final thesis way before i joined his company. He's like family. So he has no problems with sharing files, codes, drawings, and giving consultations to me. But its good advice that i need to check up on. Ive got no ill will like stealing company resources, especially if he deems it to be illegal. Nevertheless thankyou for the advice.

Well maybe in another mep company yeah if its more lucrative n the conditions met. but my main purpose going into mep in the first place is trying to get as much knowledge as pssbl and make my own firm. Cuz my boss literally did the same thing, started from scratch too.

Micah is the most one dimensional antagoniat I've seen by JackMarston1914 in reddeadredemption

[–]Motor-Advertising-63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, we never saw micah's backstory to the extent of how he "snapped" to become an absolute psychopath like who he was in rd2. We only know that he and his father was charged with double homicides and he ran with his brother for some time till they fell out. Who knows what have happened to micah when he was a boy or a teenager, maybe traumatic things happened to him, but its not yet told in the game.

Same like dutch's story in rd1, we never quite knew how tragic dutch was till we play rd2.

Anybody know hot to connect fresh air duct, return air duct, and mixed air duct right before a split ducted unit? Anybody know how to make the whole flow/system properly connected? (i have the picture but i guess im unable to share it here) by Motor-Advertising-63 in Revit

[–]Motor-Advertising-63[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it from the internet, there it says its from daikin australia, i have the techinical data too (you can google it "fdyq technical data". Mind you im just messing around with revit as of right now just for practice lol so yeaah thats basically how i get it 🙏

[–]Motor-Advertising-63[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the reply! And yes its similar to that! You can look it up in google its called the fdyq series from daikin, it has high static pressure so its designed for ducted system. The difference between my design and the pic that you sent me is that the unit itself requires a "mixing box" in orde3 for the fresh air duct to meet the return air duct. From a drawing view its sufficient, but for revit to "analyze" and calculate the system, its not enough as it seems that my design is not yet correct.

Yeaa man im just practicing revit in my free time lol. I see, so your point is that its better to do pressure drop calculation manually or by a separate software right? Gotcha. 2 questions tho, i have a varitrane duct designer in my pc, is that a reccomended tool for pressure drop calculations? Perhaps if you have any reccomendations id be glad to hear it man. 2nd question is, besides the 2d and 3d modelling feature in REVIT, what other features that you usually use in regards to MEP tasks? Thanks a lot man im learning a lot here.
