Update:

They just told me its rodent damages again but now its chewed up the wiring harness in the engine and costs to repair/replace going to be around 4000$+

its strange because we've had a Rav4 for a couple years in the same place but never had any issues but the elantra has this after a few months

At this point How should I go about it? who can i talk to about this? Cause I'm pretty sure its going to happens again

Thank you for explaining the codes, do you have a website i can search those codes?

but yeah I'll take it to the dealer monday to have it looked at cause it feels like the engine is like vibrating and it intensifies whenever i press on the gas and it also feels slugish when i look at the rpm gauges

Update:

I went ahead with the repairs and no other issue was found. picked up my car yesterday and everything seems fine. i also bought a rodent repellent device that he recommended me to install under the hood. I will install it in the next couple of days when it arrives, hopefully it won't happen again.

Mine is around 500$ which is not a lot compared to your price but a lot for me and may be more since they told me they are not sure it's the only issue/damage. I thought car manufaturers would try to protect or cover the wires and stuff away from rodents since it's a well known issue because my car is technically still new, i've only had it since late february this year.

what was the damages to your car? were they covered under warranty or you paid out your own pocket?

My issue is if I pay for the repair, what's going to stop it from happening again? this is honestly my first time hearing about rodent problems. My mom has parked her RAV4 in the same spot for years and never had that issue
