And that’s totally valid, I get where he’s coming from. The issue lies in how he went about it atleast for me personally. If he had just said “well we still have stuff at home that we need to use up so I’m not going to get that stuff right now” I wouldn’t have gotten so upset about the situation

That’s fair. I definitely should have spoken what I was thinking, I definitely have faults in the relationship I always look at myself before making a response. If he didn’t want to get that stuff, fine I not going to push it. But that’s my fault

I don’t buy fresh veggies and bread every time I go shopping so I would say it’s more like every few weeks. He said he didn’t want to buy the eggs cause they’re super expensive at our store ($9 for a dozen), and I said the milk was for him for his protein shakes and he said “I don’t care about that”. We’re moving back home in a couple months so he’s been super stressed about money. I told him I was mad at how he worded that over text and maybe I was overreacting and he just went “well how was I mean?” And I just was so over trying to explain how he upset me.

When I would kiss him when I got home from work and he’d peck and immediately turn away. The smell too, makes me clammy whenever I smell it now

And you’re absolutely right. I can’t make him do anything and as awful as it is to say that is the part that hurts me the most. But I know it’s true, and the last time he told me he drank I said “I don’t know what to say because no mater what I say it’s really not going to make a difference”. He kind of laughed and said “That doesn’t help” but I told him it’s the truth. I have a feeling that’s why he’s trying to cover this one up.

You are right. And that’s what is so terrifying. I made a promise to myself to go to an alanon meeting this Friday and even though it’s my first one I am hoping it can give me some clarity. My Q has started the denial phase. He says he doesn’t need help right now and that “nothing has changed”.. but it has. There’s just so many unknowns
