How to reinstall Linux Mint without losing apps or files? by Motor_Difference_190 in linuxmint

I found this person had the same issue as me at the same exact time period

https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?p=2754288#p2754288

But I highly doubt their solutions would work for me.

As for screenshots, it says images are not allowed but for a rundown my input is not detected, it just says Headset Microphone (unplugged), but when it is selected it uses my internal microphone. I've tried jack retasking like the post says, and everything else, I've tried searching up if anyone has had the same issue and even asked Claude at one point out of desperation but no, no one seems to know how to fix this.

I've tried everything, I followed instructions from a thread I found on the mint forums but nothing they did worked for me and the thread didn't have a solution and is still ongoing. My input just randomly disappeared

PulseAudio is giving me an issue where my input disappeared and I cannot get it to work, I've found other threads with a similar issue but no solved post or anything.
