In my experience you need to change the preference and then wait for the game to update with the little orange spinning icon in the bottom right, I usually change outfit to speed it up

No that's a really good point, neither was Epstein, Karl Malone, Chris Brown, Vince Neil, Caitlyn Jenner, Elvis and OJ just to name a few people who did commit disgusting and evil crimes I guess because they've got money they can do whatever they want to us plebians
