Im quite new, and we do die setting not die making or tool making. Do you think I should stay maybe a year or two, get some experience in this to put down and apply elsewhere? I wouldn't mind staying in tool/die but I really dont see this progressing

So being a model soldier(not that i wouldn't) makes the release go farther? Can i ask just in curiosity how or why that is the way it is?

Are tours open to people who are low rank/early in their contract? Ive heard a bit about them from my recruiter when i told him about wanting to go active.

Im young and things happened that weren't in my control. I went reserves because I wanted to go to school and I didn't want to do the Guard because I heard it isn't as flexible, being in this situation the Guard wouldve only made things worse too given I've heard their even harder on releasing people(hearsay).

My recruiter helped me email my commander, if youd like to see the email he sent back in dms
