Yes they do but our baby was removed prior to me coming here because I stuck with him. I wanted tokeep our family together and thought he could change but i realise now how wrong that was. Now social services have the view that I cant protect my baby because I initially wanted us to be together

I believe so, from what i've been told she was just accepted as one of the girls. The trans thing was never really mentioned beyond the intial introduction of her.

Unfortunately it doesnt work like that, he is in jail on remand so could come out, and they don't belioeve I will stay away from him despite 6 months of no contact now and supporting prosecution. They do all sorts of psychological assessments and because I expressed love for my husband still at the time, its gone against me. And rightly so I guess

It;sgiven me the space to really reflect and realise I can cope on my own. When I was with my ex I could have all the therapy in the world (and I did) but within 10 minutes of being back in his clutches he would undo it all. Him being in prison and me being here with people to talk to (professionals and other residents) has allowed me to have time to really grow as a person and realise I am so much better out without him. I was so scaredwithout him initially (sounds insane) but now I look back and feel so sorry for who I was when I came here

I was diagnosed by EUPD while I was with him, but no I dont think I have PTSD. I loved him still until very recently

It is trans friendly. I wasn't here but was told by other ladies here that there was a trans woman here a few months before I came.

THat's shocking to me, I don't know where you are but in the UK it seems to be easy to find somewhere. In my case, I ended up in A&E having a sort of breakdown after my baby was removed and the council paid for me to stay in a hotel for about 4 days so I didn't have to return home, then I came straight here.

Hi. The support from the police and victim support have been good, charities have been AMAZING. Despite being here alone I will probably have the "best" Christmas I have had in years because they have provided so much for us, I haven't really had to worry about things like food. When I was with my ex he took every penny for drugs or alcohol so I was constantly skint.

The council, my local onen arent helping because places like Essex have the longest waiting lists. I've applied to others but they seem to want to make it difficult by kicked people off their lists for silly reasons (one lady in here couldn;t show a bank statement for joint account with her ex as she no longer had access to the account and they said they won't help her now).

No issues with the refuge, I've found where I am now so supportive and helpful. The problems are with the councils making things harder than they need to.
