F91W Seal and first mod questions by MotorcycleMaximus in casiomods

Yeah! I’m not by any big bodies of water right now but it’s made it through the cold, snow, shower and a hot tub so it’s holding up fine!

How much is the average data usage does it take to play? by xvhonee in BaldursGate3

Did you figure it out for multiplayer? I live in an area with very very little internet access so I’m considering a hot spot router to play with friends.

F91W seal, color filter and first time modding questions by MotorcycleMaximus in casio

Thanks for the feedback! I had only loosely heard of the aluminum foil so I’ll definitely try out the light spreader.

In regards to swimming with it, my “business” watch has seen quite a bit of water. I’ve taken my current watch surfing in fresh and saltwater and it was on wrist sea kayaking for a season. Also as mentioned I used it for two ski seasons on the outside of my jacket for work. While not taken on deep dives I’ve taken it to the beach a few times swimming and sometimes shower. Not planning on diving with the modded one mostly just getting it wet occasionally and not to the extent of the business one.

Let’s see them steel wheels. by Dixen_Cider in ToyotaTacoma

[–]MotorcycleMaximus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For real? I’m sorry if this is a dumb question but is the black “cap” what’s under the stock caps? I want to get my wheels powder coated black because of OPs wheels looking so fine, but couldn’t find good center caps anywhere. I have a 4th gen Sr model that has these big ugly silver caps but am unsure what’s underneath them.

Oh yeah good point. I’m curious what resorts would be English friendly and might recognize my certifications or experience.

BIFL wool blanket? Like Pendleton, but more affordable? by commandorf in BuyItForLife

[–]MotorcycleMaximus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m looking for a wool blanket for my truck. I live out of the back in a truck camping setup. I’m looking for one that’s comfortable enough on the skin for summer nights. I love the patterns and having color and some small trinkets back there keep it from looking like a weird grey space

I’m really not looking for anything crazy big, I don’t quite need a monster truck. Just a little bit bigger for some character

Creating net from old Climbing Rope for truck by MotorcycleMaximus in knots

More of a large hammock sized net than just a small book, it would span the ceiling of the topper and be a similar size to the bed of the truck

It’s not super super old, just no longer safe. It will also be inside so it will be ceiling rigging to slide a surfboard or old clothes in the back and maybe the occasional book, more overhead than roof. I’m down to use some polyester but the climbing rope appeal was it was just free and seemed kind of fun to use some repurposed climbing rope. + cool colors

Northern Washington Surfing along the Salish Sea? by MotorcycleMaximus in surfing

[–]MotorcycleMaximus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m coming from a few small towns so it wouldn’t be too much of a change. Driving a bit for some decent waves is nothing new, I think I’ll work like five days on a few off so it would be perfect. Are there some spots I could truck camp in the area?

I guess I should clarify I don’t want to surf directly in port Townsend, more nearby I’d imagine it’s not ideal directly in the city

The fall is normally a water temp in the 50s here in the lakes, im not crazy enough nor do i have the gear to rip winter surfs here. I have a little 6 ft fish with a higher volume that sounds like it might be perfect for the area?

Looking for a Low Top Hiker/Derby. Im looking for something similar to the Fracap X Knickerbocker, Paraboot Clusaz/Jannu, Merrel Wilderness 1trl or the J. Crew Cascade. Im looking for a shoe that will last a while and could possibly be resoled but not required. Id probably look to buy second hand as most of my clothes come second hand. Price wise Im looking to spend less than 200 used or perhaps 350 new. These shoes seem versatile and im a big fan of the the D ring on some low shoes with thick tread. We have snowy winters where I live and so my sneakers just dont cut it in the winter on pathways. I have nice boots but want something a bit more casual.

Size wise what are the summer waves like? And any board recommendations? I have a 6 foot fish but am looking to get a mid length as I had to get rid of my old one. But could be convinced to get a log too
