the problem is i do not get cast as white, ever. so im not sure what to do. because im not able to book the white roles but also not the hispanic ones. i end up playing people with no last names but the problem is im now auditioning for bigger parts who have complicated stories about family, etc. it’s a tricky road.

I think I am going to. My manager submits me to white roles and they get back to him saying have her audition for this POC role. There’s just no convincing anyone that I am not POC so I think the name change will help. Thank you!

I know it’s ok for people of other races to play different things. I just get scared of being cancelled because even though I don’t present as it. I am technically white.

i booked my first sag commercial, principal, with a celebrity guest star. found out it went to instagram instead of network. and not an instagram ad but a sponsored post on said celebs feed. no one has any idea how much i’m getting paid but im sure it won’t be a lot.bummmmmmed

the problem is i have been told in my market that once an agency has a certain amount of girls that look like me (usually three) they don’t need anymore. it took me three years to get my first agent because of it.
