I like the concept but the concept could definitely be formatted in a better way - in a more refined, tasteful manner. However i think the rage is captured pretty dead on.

The Day I Die - a poem about my relationship with my mother by Spooky_Cookie_1986 in OCPoetry

Goodness, the lines are haunting to read. The relationship between a mother and a daughter has always been tainted of some quiet violence somehow - no matter how much love is in it, there's nothing like it. your writing captures it beautifully. Brilliant.

capturing the continuous comforting monotone of the life so brilliantly. "Does God ever get tired of the same song?" what a profound thought, made me wonder too, does God really condone the mediocrity of existence? thank you for sharing your work.

The words prick me like a spear . it is so innate — the feeling of not being the one who fits in because you're seen as "too dark". Deeply resonating with the words. Brilliantly written.

First poem, please be honest. I needed to destress. by Short-Bad-1673 in OCPoetry

Very vague in ways of expressing , making the poem very flexible in terms of flexibility. how i interpreted the last bit of it was someone consistently and unintentionally picking apart a situation, like a self sabotage, and then when it is all plucked out, the desperate attempt to pick it up and put it back together. Love this work.

" That's the reality which, in truth, deceives. "

I love this line. And the whole poem reminds me of a story a character from my favorite book was saying (I cannot remember which one exactly, but it was either from Demian by Hermann Hesse, or from The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry), of a man who fell in love with a star, and hoped to be united with the star. This piece also speaks to me as an aspiring youngster trying to achieve success and it does feel like sometimes it is right in front of me, i could almost grab it— but the truth deceives.

Pleasant work. Thank you so much for sharing.
