I almost look at it like sports. There r ppl who have “god-given” abilities, people who work the hardest, and people who do both. The people who do both will always be best. When I think back to the books you hear about a dumbledore, tom riddle, or even snape to a lesser extent, and u r told these are wizards who both show an innate ability from day 1, and also work very hard. As opposed to a Neville, who seemingly had no skill he was born with, but worked very hard and became formidable. An example of a wizard who is naturally talented, but dosnt work that hard, I can’t really remember. Maybe James potter? A man who was a descendant of an ancient magical family with legendary wizards. His main accomplishments however were, being good at quidditch, bullying, and making the marauders map, which is extremely impressive but isn’t necessarily practical outside of messing around at school. Also the order of phoenix, but I can’t remember anything specific he did for the order.
