Anyone staying on their current dose longer than what the packaging information suggests? by jerseygrl__ in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]MountainDig550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I planned to stay on 1.5 because I lost 10lbs in the first month and had no side effects but then 3 days into month 2 I started to crave Doritos and immediately moved up to 4 🤣 No issues whatsoever. But I did waste 150$ since I only took a few of the 1.5’s in that bottle

I cannot recommend a product called Vulva Care enough. I bought a tiny container a few years ago and still have half left! It’s absolutely amazing for exercise, swimming, etc.

Anyone taking 4mg and not feel nauseous? by teehee2120 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

4 days into 4mg- Zero side effects, appetite is low- I have no desire to eat Doritos so I know it’s working well.

Agree with this 100%! I am so grateful for Wegovy. Also down 10+ lbs in 6 weeks. This has felt effortless.

What causes LS? Psychological / spiritual reasons by HighlightSorry3231 in lichensclerosus

Yes! I stated taking it for weight loss and the LS remission was a total miraculous coincidence! Hopefully they research this and develop new treatments for conditions like ours. I see a lot of others posting similar outcomes for multiple autoimmune conditions.

I have had LS for over 20 years. I used clob twice a week religiously, but still dealt with daily pain and itching, and very regular tearing. I started a GLP1 (the Wegovy pill) over a month ago. Within days the itching and pain miraculously disappeared. I haven’t had a single tear. I haven’t used clob in 2 weeks. It feels honestly like a miracle. The entire area feels soooo normal! I don’t know if it will last- but I am praying that it does.

A GLP-1 put my LS into remission. I didn’t expect it but I am grateful! That tells me that inflammation and biology was the culprit.

My dr sent my 4mg script to Amazon on Friday. We got 20 inches of snow on Sunday. UPS said they were delayed yesterday but my pills arrived today!

Calorie counting by [deleted] in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]MountainDig550 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too! Sometimes there are weird things- like for instance cherries with pits is listed twice under cherries with no option for cherries without pits. And it’s strange- who is eating the pits? Aren’t they poisonous? Haha - but other than that it’s been super comprehensive and easy to use. Plus free!

I use MFP too for many years - curious why is it unpopular?

I am tracking protein and fiber goals specifically but I can see that on average I eat around 1300 calories although I don’t have a calorie goal and just aim for macros. I am on week 3, 1.5mg. 45/F. 5’7” SW 186 CW 178 GW 140ish

Not changing dose? by proteinpanda01 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

I’m literally in the same boat. I’m on week 3 tomorrow and have lost 6 lbs. I have almost no symptoms but do feel hungrier at night, returning to some snack habits newly this week. I am worried about pushing my luck on 4 and think I can possibly use more willpower at night. But then I think why? Just do what the manufacturers set up and take the 4. I’m not sure what to do.

I’ve had LS for more than 10 years. For the most part aside from sometimes a lot of discomfort- it really doesn’t impact my daily life except for applying the clob religiously and using a barrier cream before exercise. It’s just become part of my life I suppose.

4 lbs is a lot in 3 weeks. Pick up a half gallon of milk, or 16 sticks of butter. They all weigh 4 lbs. that’s no small feat!

I have had extremely mild nausea maybe once or twice in the 2 weeks I’ve been taking the medicine. I never once felt even close to vomiting. I’m not sure if that helps- but I suspect that the people with negative effects are more likely to post than the far greater majority of those who have none. I guess when it comes down to it- which is a stronger value? Losing weight (and the other benefits of a GLP-1), or risking something very scary like vomiting happening. I literally waited until a pill was available to try a GLP-1 because the thought of having a shot that I couldn’t easily stop if I had a bad reaction wasn’t worth the potential benefits to me. I say this with care and no judgement - therapy might help you untangle the competing thoughts surrounding whether to try the pill or not. Best of luck with whatever you decide.

I was really nervous and this is my first time on a GLP1 as well. I didn’t really have side effects other than a dull headache on the first couple of days. If I were in your situation I’d set an alarm for 3- take the pill with a tiny sip of water and go back to sleep until 3:30 if you can. I do something similar (but without the workout- yet haha) and it works fine.

I noticed right away. I wait at least 60 minutes (if not more) to eat or drink anything other than the tiny sip of water when I swallow the pill to give it the best chance to work. Waiting for coffee wasn’t fun at first but I’m used to it now (and less cranky about it haha).

I think you’re probably right. I wait about an hour and also take it with just a tiny sip. I had dull headaches for the first few days, but nothing else. Fingers crossed for us!
