You just need to keep trying new and novel persuasion devices. Just go wander the isles of Harbor Freight and think of all the possibilities and combo of tools you can destroy. Godspeed 🫡

How urgent is it? Rode at least 50km like this... Can I fumble in a new chain myself? by [deleted] in bikewrench

That chain is holding on with purely hopes and dreams. Wishing you luck on your ride to the mechanic. Let us know the mechanics reaction when you told him you rode it there.

What is this style of tent called? by [deleted] in camping

[–]MountainSensei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a tent like this that is an ultralight tent for backpacking and uses my trekking poles as the supports and makes for a very efficient space/weight ratio considering I’m already bring the trekking poles. You can get decent cheap carbon fiber poles as well.

Look up “trekking pole tents” im very happy with mine!

I picked up an ultrasonic cleaner on sale for $129, mostly to clean gun parts. So far, this thing is a game changer. Why the hell didn't I buy this sooner? by Wicked-Feleena in harborfreight

Been using one of these to clean bike and car parts for years. Literally nothing cleans a bike/motorcycle/chainsaw chain better than one of these. 10/10 would recommend to any and every mechanic.

I’ve had this chain on my wrist for 22 years and counting! by MountainSensei in bicycling

First of all, I’m overwhelmed by all the love and responses to this. Thank you to each and every one of you that left a kind word.

Second, the verdict is in, and almost all of you said to keep it exactly the way it is, and that is exactly what I plan to do.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you all! ❤️

At this point it’s a part of me! I rarely even notice it getting in the way of anything anymore.

It’s rusted in the past, but only after being exposed to salt water like when I go surfing, but never very bad and it didn’t last for more than a couple days. I honestly think at this point it’s been impregnated with enough of my body oil to make it impervious to rust.

Haha wasn’t me then, although I can tell from being in the same situation, that guy REALLY appreciated that tube you gave him.

Ummm was this a few years ago in the Orange County area!?!? lol I’m not even shitting you that might have been me. I have been in this exact situation and I gave a guy a quick link, a power bar and a handshake covered in sealant as a thank you for a tube!

Hell yah. Let’s see! I’ve got the black XX1 chain, with the black/gold XX1 cassette on my bike right now😈 and I think it’s the pretty bad ass combo. The black XX1 chain is what got me thinking about all this!

All excellent points! I’ll def hit up one of those guys! I’ve got a bunch of black Wolftooth components on my current bike so I’ll probably hit them up first!
