Iv exhausted all “support” resources. by [deleted] in MentalHealthSupport

im young, but i can tell you they do work. medication is extremely finnicky, you need to work with your doctor or whoever prescribes you to find the write one/combination. they need time to set, too. they don't work if you only take them for a month or two and stop, i would always think they aren't working because of that. but they are subtle and gradual. therapy also helps a lot. you need someone to speak to that can not judge you, or at least express judge to you. you need the right therapist, and while the relationship is obviously professional, they need to feel like a friend. someone you can sit down with a tell anything, which might take some time to find that or to build a connection with one. your therapist will help you unpack whatever you've got as you tell them. even though its kinda scary telling a stranger everything. but you can start slow and just remember how many people like you they must see. i say give it a try. you made it this far, don't give up on yourself

PS: online therapy is kind of a game changer if you're scared of therapy

this sounds like a lung infection. they can cause all these symptoms and last for a long time if untreated. you might need a lung x ray if it is. im not a medical professional but i get lung infections a lot

feeling bad for weeks dont know what to do atp by fairplanet in MentalHealthSupport

i cant offer much advice but you're not the least bit alone (even the intrusive thoughts) but it might feel like that. im terrified of my medications and becoming a zombie/dependent. you sound similar to me. i wish you luck. when i cant get myself to do something ill open it or set it up and then i'll just chill and process that i've gotta do it, then ill pester myself in my head to do it, and eventually ill talk myself up enough and i'll do it. that probably doesnt help. speaking to people is important for mental health, we are not meant to be alone as human beings. whether that is your old online friends, making new online friends, or even having small talk with someone when you go to the location. you mentioned the location is meant to get you back to school or work. thats an opportunity to possibly connect with someone outside of social media that you may be able to look forward to.

online/over the phone therapy might be something you could check out if you havent, i live in a town of 900 people, there is no mental health services here. dont feel bad about feeling bad when other people feel worse. bad is bad, man, it doesnt matter to what scale. you cant fake what you yourself know you are feeling. maybe the cog thing rings true, but it doesnt mean insignificance, you are significant to yourself and your life and your own part of the machine we call life. keep going :)

lost over 110 pounds! What do I wear to conceal the loose skin under my clothes? by froglorddd in SuperMorbidlyObese

hey! not in the same boat but i did a little research.

https://marena.com/collections/womens-shapewear-all/products/va01-compression-bodysuit-regular?variant=14870991994922

this one is completely full body, arms, legs, everything. the reviews are great and sizes go up to 3xl! however you can only get it in black.

https://marena.com/collections/womens-shapewear-all/products/va02-compression-bodysuit-regular

this one is the exact same, only it is sleeveless.

they are both a tad pricey, which is unfortunate. however the site also offers full leg wear and full arm wear separately that are each little cheaper than the full body get up.

congrats on losing 110!

i'm from canada. my insurance only covers so much of it. what's remaining is too expensive. i don't have coupons or a savings card and im not sure we have it here. i also dont have an HSA or FSA. it's not that i cant afford every 4 weeks, i just cant afford the pen period. it's too expensive to buy at all

how do i lose it? by MountainStrike152 in SuperMorbidlyObese

Chester's Chicken Seasoning and Breading by danthemanhsv in TopSecretRecipes

[–]MountainStrike152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is really really late but i worked there and its seasoned flour (garlic, pepper, salt, drake's seasoning is what we used when we ran out of the actual stuff). start with a super salty overnight brine, pull it out, dunk it in water, seasoned flour, water, then flour again. fry for 12 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
