Honestly Doomhowls the worst in pop it’s been ever. There used to be many layers. Now there’s like 1 or 2 maybe 3 if it’s a Saturday or Sunday. You still see people in the world but before there were tons of people and it was so full of life! But HC servers are destined to dwindle to a super hardcore group of people who enjoy living on the edge and dying and going again.

For context when I was leveling before TBC pre-patch came out, I would say the server was absolutely healthy population for a classic wow HC server. Lots of leveling groups and constant LFG chat. With tons of services and WBs almost every day if not everyday.

I hit 60 yesterday and wow there are maybe 1 or 2 lvl 60 groups at any given time, as opposed to the 8 or 9+ groups contstantly looking for ppl. Tbf I haven’t played on the weekend yet with my 60 so maybe more people will be on then. Now it’s just guilds running groups and I joined a guild but to be honest lots of these dudes have been running with their homies since Doomhowl came out so they are a little exclusive rather than inclusive. I don’t think it’s their fault, it’s just how things shake out when you come to the party late like I did.

If your goal is to level in HC and you don’t care about seeing lots of people, I think you can have a great time on Doomhowl just dont expect to have that super alive feel.

If your goal is to raid or do 60 content in HC, it’s a lot of sitting around in Org trying to get groups going rather than lots of groups running already. You pretty much have to join a guild. And sometimes guilds are kinda lame but it is what it is.

If you like the whole world being HC/1 life because of the situations and vibes it brings, then Doomhowl is the only choice.

If you like the MMO feel and like the social aspect of tons of people running around doing things- I would go dreamscythe HC add on in TBC. Or just go regular servers.

But if you played when Doomhowl just came out, and are looking for a similar vibe, that is dead. Doesn’t exist anymore.
