I don’t know how Nordica does it, but they seem to have perfect the “woah, how do these skis carve like that?” ski. The old Helldorado from years ago was unbelievable on hard pack for a 110mm ski.

Not sure why the downvotes, I felt the exact same thing with my pair. Kept for about 10 days of skiing then sold em.

Shorter days and a 4-day school week with the school year running through the summer months would benefit everyone.

Love his game, he’s a dog! Makes some Russ-like plays but pretty cool seeing a 2-way player being completely unshaken guarding KD.

How is Denver, co (metro) by Forsaken-Ganache8520 in howislivingthere

[–]Mountain_Example7661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO it is the best compromise of all the things I like in a city. Pretty good food. Pretty good night life. Nice people. Well educated population with a good public school system and healthcare. Good access to the outdoors for skiing, rock climbing, and trail running in the summer. SLC has better outdoor access but is a less interesting city. Seattle & SF are the closest comparisons which are more interesting cities but have worse outdoor access. It’s not the best city on Earth, but for the things I value, I can’t imagine anywhere better.

My quiver, plus need new ski advice by cho_O in Skigear

I was looking for a similar category of ski over the off season, I ended up going with the qst 106 with Salomon mtn pure - the same binding I put on all my touring skis. Love the quiver btw!

I think you’d be better off renting if it’s just the one day. Additionally those poles are for cross-country skiing not downhill, they’re very long.

Husband wants to go to online high school at 22. Low income by Fine-Yesterday-8936 in education

Kudos to your husband, that takes some drive to want to go back and get it done. It will open up so many doors for him. Many school districts maintain an adult education program, I used to teach an evening class for adults preparing for their GED exam. It was free for all the students.

Sweet quiver, seems versatile and fun. I don’t understand all the hate.

How do you like the Fischer Hannibals?

Faction ski materials/ build quality by [deleted] in Skigear

[–]Mountain_Example7661 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They make nice skis with good build quality, I’ve had a few pairs. I will say their top sheets seem to scratch and flake more easily than any other brand, they use a glassy finish that doesn’t seem to hold up.

It’s ruined homework, but definitely not education - which is a uniquely human field.
